Chris had one request for his Turkish barber
Chris had gone for a full haircut and razor shave.
The barber was clearly experienced.
Chris still became nervous when the man answered his phone midway through the shave and held it between his ear and shoulder while continuing to use the razor.
Then came the flaming of Chris’s ear hair.
Again:
probably routine for the barber.
Less routine for the person sitting in the chair while the barber was also trying to have a phone conversation.
Chris’s request for next time was modest.
Please concentrate.
Hayley had turned a double-decker bus into a home
The day’s Brother or Lover began with Hayley, a delivery driver with around 50,000 TikTok followers.
Her online project involved converting a double-decker bus into a mobile home.
The bus already carried the number:
69.
Hayley kept it.
The number had become part of the project’s identity.
Then she introduced Owen.
Was he her brother?
Or her lover?
Owen spent a lot of time with Hayley’s family
The first clue was surprisingly strong.
Owen saw Hayley’s family around two or three times a week, often for dinner.
Scott thought this could point either way.
A brother would obviously know the family.
A boyfriend who had become very close to them could also spend that much time there.
Owen sometimes helped with the bus conversion too.
Again:
family project or couple project?
No clear answer.
They did not buy each other Christmas presents
Then came the detail which fooled almost everybody.
Owen was not stressed about buying Hayley a Christmas present.
They simply did not normally buy for each other.
He was buying a present for his little girl.
Producer Travis interpreted this as powerful evidence for siblings.
If Hayley were Owen’s partner, surely doing no Christmas presents at all would be unusual.
Other members of the production team agreed.
The number 69 pushed Scott and Chris back towards lovers
The final question went straight to the bus.
Why number 69?
Hayley explained it had already been on the vehicle when she got it.
She had not deliberately chosen the innuendo.
Chris still felt the whole setup sounded more couple-like than sibling-like.
Scott agreed.
The votes split.
Scott and Chris chose lovers.
Every member of the production team chose brother.
Scott and Chris were right
Hayley gave the reveal.
Owen was her lover.
They had been together for about a year.
The entire production team had got it wrong.
Scott and Chris celebrated unusually hard because the game so often made them look foolish.
The bus would still remain primarily Hayley’s own space.
They were not rushing into living together.
Scott joked that perhaps one day their buses could combine.
Scott’s dad wanted a walking umbrella
The programme also tried to work out what Scott’s dad Pete meant when he requested a walking umbrella for Christmas.
Scott initially had no idea.
The phrase sounded like an umbrella which somehow walked by itself.
What Pete apparently wanted was essentially a sturdier, longer umbrella which could double as a walking-stick-style support.
Christmas shopping had produced another phrase nobody on the show knew they needed.
Racing novels became operatic hip-hop
Don’t Look It Up included Racehorse or Racing Novel, featuring names such as *Frisky No More*, *Mated by Night* and *Panty Raid*.
Then hip-hop classics were transformed into operatic arrangements, including *WAP*, *Gold Digger* and *Empire State of Mind*.
The show had started with a barber holding a phone beside a razor.
It ended with Cardi B as opera.
