Amber was put through the fake machine
Love Island winner Amber Davies joined by phone while working at the Southampton Boat Show.
Scott and Chris told her they had access to a sophisticated lie detector capable of analysing truthfulness purely from the sound of her voice.
They did not.
While Amber was briefly put on hold, the pair explained that they simply had a collection of official-sounding percentage clips and could choose whichever result they wanted after each answer.
The first question established that Amber really was Amber Davies with a reassuring 98% reading.
Asked whether she loved Kem, she said yes and was awarded 93%.
Then the machine became considerably less generous.
Amber denied having naughty dreams about another Love Island contestant and was told her answer was only 6% true. She denied celebrities had been sliding into her DMs and received another extremely low score.
Finally she denied lying during the test and was again told the machine barely believed her.
Scott and Chris eventually admitted there had never been a machine at all. Amber’s main concern was making clear that the answer about loving Kem had been genuine.
Tony Abbott and the raw onion returned
Scott had also discovered footage of former Australian prime minister Tony Abbott biting directly into a raw onion during a visit to a farm.
The image fascinated him because Abbott did not peel it or treat it like an unusual challenge; he simply bit into it as though it were an apple.
Scott and Chris struggled to imagine the taste or the effect on somebody’s breath afterwards.
Freshers flu was approaching
After another run of university DJ appearances, Scott believed Freshers flu was beginning to catch up with the show. He and Chris heard from students recovering from nights out and prepared another Freshers-related game for Friday.
