Listener Lindsay prompted a discussion about starting a new relationship with somebody at work. Scott and Chris heard from people whose workplace romances had gone badly wrong, especially when the relationship ended but both people still had to keep turning up to the same office.
The voice of Love Island got soaked
Iain Stirling joined Innuendo Bingo after a summer in which his Love Island narration had made his voice instantly recognisable.
Listeners sent requests for words and phrases they wanted to hear in his exaggerated Love Island delivery, ranging from “scrumptious” to the rather less glamorous “pervert”.
Iain then faced Chris across the Bingo table and discovered that being the voice of the summer offered no protection from a mouthful of water.
Danny Howard had actually found Chris an Ibiza gig
The day’s biggest surprise came from Danny Howard, who revealed that he had managed to secure Chris a genuine DJ slot during Radio 1’s Ibiza weekend at Hï Ibiza.
For a moment it sounded like one of Chris’s biggest ambitions had simply fallen into place.
Then came one additional detail.
The Wild Corner had a proper DJ booth, but it also doubled as the club’s toilet area.
Chris did not care. A DJ set in the toilets of an Ibiza superclub was still an Ibiza DJ set, and he immediately declared it one of the greatest opportunities of his life.
