A whole host of changes come into effect this week at Radio 1 as a result of the departure of Fearne Cotton, Reggie Yates, and Vernon Kay.
Cheeky chappy Matt Edmondson will takeover weekend mornings from 10am, and the glamorous Jameela Jamil will become the first female solo presenter of Radio 1’s Chart Show on Sunday afternoons.
YouTube sensations Dan and Phil will present the first visual request show on the station on Sunday evenings from 7pm, and comedian Tom Deacon will host the Wednesday night show at 9pm.
Sara Cox also temporarily takes the reigns on the mid-morning show while Fearne Cotton is on maternity leave, and Alice Levine joins Phil Taggart in a new specialist evening show airing Monday to Thursday at 10pm.
