6 January 2011: A taxi driver removes a spider

A taxi driver removes a spider

Beccy told Scott about a friend who had found a huge spider in the bath and, unable to deal with it, phoned a local taxi company. A driver came round, removed it and charged a fiver, leaving Scott to decide whether inviting a stranger into the house was really better than facing the spider.

The discussion widened into the things people pay cab drivers to do. Scott admitted to having taxis deliver essentials when he was too frightened to leave home during early starts, while listeners supplied increasingly strange examples, including a passenger who paid drivers to come round and play dominoes.

The PR4L also returned with listener messages, and the team continued their nightly guide to R. Kelly’s Trapped in the Closet. Beccy, new to the saga, tried to keep track of the rapidly multiplying characters and clues while Scott insisted that its absurdity was completely sincere.
