The phone-made songs return

Scott used the programme to collect the week’s most memorable bits for anyone catching up through the podcast. The homemade songs were back, with Beccy’s phone-made version of Justin Bieber’s Baby still judged the strongest and the producer’s edited rock song assembled from Chris’s adult-baby call providing close competition.

The team also recapped the latest developments in R. Kelly’s Trapped in the Closet. By this point the saga had reached a rolling pin, a table, guns, a statue and Rosie the nosy neighbour with a spatula, leaving its growing audience no less bewildered and no less eager to continue.

It was a useful reset after the previous week’s run of features. The programme made clear that the podcast was becoming part of the joke itself, a place where new listeners could catch up with the increasingly elaborate show lore.
