Scott began by playing a Britney Spears Christmas song he thought listeners would not know, only to hear from people working in shops that they heard it constantly. He decided online shoppers should have the same music piped through their computers for the full, irritating retail experience.
He then put forward his favourite Christmas songs, selecting records with a story, before producing a Ricky Martin song from cassette. Scott was fascinated by the plot, in which Ricky appeared to have forgotten Christmas and tried to make up for it with increasingly odd lyrics.
Beccy’s Christmas Classifieds offered deliberately unhelpful present ideas, including an apparently genuine signature from someone unimportant. The show ended with the TV-shopping present Scott had wrapped for Beccy and more festive Stupid Street.
