Afternoon! Tuesday and all that squit, so here’s another review…
People are pointing the finger at what happened to drive time presenter Richard Bacon at Scott. Did Nicholas Lyndhurst mistake Bacon for Scott? Scott would like to make it clear he thinks Bacon is a very nice bloke.
Chappers was slightly disappointed it wasn’t Lola off of the song in the olden days
Baby let’s talk… to Chappers
Today Chopper got to interview Lola. He thinks there was a spark between him and her, and some chemistry. During a rather short interview, Chappers firstly wanted to know what the song was about. It’s not just about copping off with people willy nilly, it’s all about female empowerment. You go sister! She says she’s up for it in a situation of her choosing. A situation where it promotes joy and satisfaction. She explained she’s after a gentle, confident, and a good lover, which clearly rules out Chappers. The interview was going well until he asked if she likes sport. Does she like Manchester United or rather…
Chappers: “Do you have a bit of Mancunian in you?”
Lola: “Do I want any Mancunian in me? Are you a Mancunian? I could see that joke coming a mile off!”
Scott: “What’s that coming over the hill, is it THAT joke!”
I don’t think we should be giving Chappers the role of interviewing guests just yet, it scarily sends him slightly local radio.
Breaking News! Laura’s feet tells all!
Hot off the press is news of Laura’s amazing talent, and after three years of knowing her, Scott didn’t know about it until now.
Chappers: “You never knew she had any talent?!”
Scott: “No… I mean this talent”
Say goodbye Mr Fish… he’s waving!
She was a bit nervous about revealing this. She thinks that she can predict the weather using her feet. She found that last week when her feet got really hot, the next day there would be sunshine. When her feet are clamy or sweaty, it means it’s going to rain the next day. Now if this is proven to be true it could save BBC weather lots of money in equipment!
More callers have claimed to have similar experiences. One caller says an hour before it rains her knees start to tingle. Martin Davies off of the weather thought this was fascinating. He wanted to know if she’s got any bits that predict the stock market. Scott thinks it’s just a regional thing. When they checked her feet today, Chappers said Laura’s feet were a bit clammy, and sweaty. So tomorrow she thinks it’s going to be mostly wet. Will she be right? And will we find out how to measure the amount of wind in London using Laura? Find out tomorrow.
Radio 1’s Six Weeks of Summer
Helen was on today trying to win the six weeks of summer competition for this week, with Colin and Edith. This week they’re off to Ibiza for one last time together. They had to name five things Edith would do during the day. Despite her madness she identified four correct answers to go through to the live final on Friday.
Scott couldn’t resist butting in the picture and hogging the shot
Also today…
On Friday Laura’s getting a chance to interview the gardener off of Desperate Housewives. Scott also had some tickets to his new movie to giveaway, as he’s already seen it. Scott didn’t want any stalker fans meeting Jesse Metcalfe, as it’d ruin his reputation, but seems to be quite happy for Laura to meet him.
It was a bit of an anti-climax today, following some superb shows. Today’s show was slightly local radio, with just a few smiles being raised rather than the usual laughing out loud and blowing milk out of the nose standard. Just for the record, I don’t do that, but some people might… Today’s show seemed to be struggling, and the show took a tumble when the Six Weeks of Summer competition came on. Thankfully the Laura and Chappers stuff kept the show alive.
