I wouldn't mind a refresh, partially because I always preferred the old 2018-2020 theme to the current one.
Also, I liked it when Greg would play in the full 60 second intro and speak over the top of it, rather than the shortened 30 second one. Perhaps new imaging could mean the return of that!

Scott, Chris. Thank You. The amount of laughs I’ve shared with both of you over the years has kept me laughing on the great days and picked me up on the bad ones. You are one of the main reasons why I love Radio and for that I will always be grateful to you. You and Chris Moyles will always for me be the true kings of Radio 1. Very much agree Jono, absolutely certain this came from the Radio 2 side rather than from R1. Aled is not stupid and still knows how popular of a Broadcaster he is at the station.

Once Greg has done this show, which I suspect will be within the two years (as Chris Moyles said in a Podcast a couple of years ago, nobody will ever beat his record of 8 and a half years, they'll be too old and untrendy long before then) much like Moyles, he'll leave the station. However, I think he will stay at the company barring some huge offer coming in from Commercial Stations (could only see it being Global), can very much see his future at the BBC at either Radio 4 or 5 Live. I think it's very likely we see him on Test Match Special at some point, the perfect sort of guy for it in the future.
Scott will be off within a couple of years too I predict, which will obviously be sad and the true ending of a huge era at the station, but he will almost certainly end up on Radio 2 daytime, and could see him doing more Radio 5 Live stuff possibly too in the future.
Jordan will absolutely take the next Breakfast Show gig, but almost certainly with someone else, either Katie or Vick, and I suspect the other one that doesn't take Breakfast will take Drivetime. Once Scott leaves, Dean will probably get his slot or they could move RMC to his slot and put Dean in the Live Lounge slot. For me, the evening shows seem set for a while, considering there's a whole new schedule coming to that especially around weekends from September.

I mean it will be 10 Years this September. Whilst any sort of large reunion is unlikely, don't rule out them doing something, as it was a key part of Radio 1's history.
DC, I too was listening to some old stuff on the archive and on YouTube where various clips have been put up, only now when I listen to it back you realise just how brilliant they all were together as a team.

After 14 years, today is looking likely to be the final day of the current R1 logo, the new one looks very similar but is just in a different font and slightly thinner. Also potential for new Radio 1 Branding to come in soon, so the Black, Green and Purple could be changed.

I understand just whacking a stream up of the webcams in the studio and putting it on there for the world to see isn't a bright idea, but iirc when Moyles had his show live it would just show a "Now Playing" screen and then return to the live feed when the song ended

Honestly would love nothing more than for them showing events on their webcam's again. Remember when they showed the Chris Moyles Show in full for 6 weeks in Summer 2009? Such a shame they stopped that sort of thing, even for big interviews they'd show.

I personally was just a sucker for the old Schedule. I loved the weirdness of that first 30 mins of Greg between 6:30 and 7:00. I always found Roisins "This is Newsbeat; its 6:33" as something that properly started my day, just before the old full Breakfast intro, nowadays it almost seems rushed, 7am hits and instead of the nice calm gentle full 1 minute intro you got to Greg from 2018 - 2020, now you get this short 20-30 seconds theme instead that Greg plays out instead of chatting over the top of the music. I find all the shows ending at Newsbeat breaks just quite robotic, like there is no longer any chat or chemistry between them, before you'd get Scott chatting with Grimmy at 4, but now its just the news and then onto the next thing. I feel like R1 have almost decided to change something that didn't need fixing, the old schedule was great, the jingles and themes were great, what was the need to change them?

Overall, I've enjoyed the schedule because I like having Greg on 10-11 (until this week lol) but equally I don't like the rotating schedule where you only get Scott and Chris every 2 weeks

Poss put Scott back on drive or give him breakfast and let Greg have a bit of a sabbatical in the next year or so to enable Scott to leave R1 on a high. Make Friday a more normal weekday schedule at least until 1 or 4pm. Have the chart as a hour show with occasional extended specials e.g. Christmas no1, chart of the year.
I'd like Friday back as a normal schedule definitely. Don't know if Greg taking time off is going to happen. I hope not lol. Scott I think may well go back on Drive and we all saw last week how much Grimmy liked doing the Evening shows!

I hope they add some more digital features, like for example they could add a webcam feed from the studios to the Sounds website which would be really cool.
I agree about the Schedule, I hope Jordan gets some more air-time. Regarding the music I'm not really fussed about changing to Pop as it's my preferred style too!
