Greg and Scott has been covered before and is generally because Scott's out having a fag or getting ready hence why there are three tracks (Greg's last song and Scott's opening two) between links. However Scott often gets involved in a handover when something specific is happening or with the Feet up Friday crew.

If ryd2603 read the quote properly cxx666 mentioned the shows BEFORE which are sometimes live and sometimes taped. Benji and Gilles Peterson are normally live I think but don't think Mike Davies is and Annie I think but might be wrong varies between live and recorded. Final mention on Dev he seems to get on well with Edith when they've handed over or co-presented

I'd abolish the request show and give Reggie a proper show (thought he was quite good at covering Greg + Vernon recently) or Matt on at 4 on Saturday, tho Matt might be limited now he works on T4 hence Gemma is the choice to cover for Edith Weekend afternoons especially Sat afternoons I doubt the listening figures are very high as people are out or listening to 5live for the sport. Maybe cut Grimmy to Mon-Wed and give Matt Thursday 10-12?

On that basis I'm guessing Dev isn't so popular as he doesn't seem to do much with the rest of the dj's and doesn't handover but that's more likely a handover with Newsbeat and cheesy song seems a bit silly. When Annie Mac covered Fearne last year she had a bit of a strop over a boobs comment but seemed to get over it. Aled and Max then 1xtra and cover for surgery had a bit of a row on air once.

Everyone seems to get on so nicely on air but wonder if this is real or forced

Huw was main cover for Greg James for most of last year and remember him covering at Easter when Greg covered for Scott

Wonder if Huw Stephens is the latest presenter to fall out of favour as far as being given cover shows is concerned

What extra effort does Scott and the team put into breakfast compared to his normal show as he doesnt have Roy Walker, Rob DJ pub quiz, half hour links, golden hour etc but replaces it with music which is decided by playlist. I'll give Stupid Street credit tho

If Grimmy/Sara are coverin wonder years then Scott should do the golden hour

I know I asked the question doesn't mean its necessarily the right option - I think both Moyles and Mills fans agree Scott's better on Afternoons and Scott doesn't really benefit from morning exposure nor does he seem to make a special effort in Morning shows (unlike Greg when he covered for Scott and Sara/Vernon put more effort in their shows IMO) Apart from Bank Holiday's I'd say Vernon or Sara with Comedy Dave should be first choice cover (both equal cover) (Dave could be replaced by a guest sidekick or just be off when he needs time off) or if everyone's away then Greg James should take over with a sidekick. Grimmy's fine covering for Scott tho could do with someone to talk to reguarly

As said before especially these 2 weeks they should have kept Scott on afternoons as he's had 2 weeks off - maybe have a competition and listeners vote who's best e.g. Monday Greg, Tuesday - Vernon or Sara, Wed - Grimmy, Thursday, Dev and Friday Fearne but each presenter has to broadcast as a team and gets a sidekick

Newsbeat outside of The Chris Moyles Show will be shared by 1xtra so more crashing the news incidents and 2:00-4:00am will be shared. Introducing shows will only have the 1 show I guess. Was thinking as presenters crash the news so many times at the weekend why can't the newsreaders do radio 1 first and then the same reader read the same bulletin when the next song finishes on 1xtra

I think Brekkie cover should be shared around more like in Drive over the last three years they've had Nihal, Sara, Dev, Grimmy, Spoony, Vernon n prob others but Brekkie has only been Scott or occasionally Vernon/Sara but only what Chris would be doing anyway

make that 2 weeks long Scott on Brekkie and Grimmy on Drive.
