  2. Which Radio 1 DJ was so afraid of the mud she hired a mobile home? I'll give you a clue. She is dating Tom Smith from the Editors, and missed out on one of the free VIP caravans given to celebrities. A source told The People: "She couldn't face camping, particularly with all the mud, and decided it was worth the cash."
  3. Guess which Radio 1 DJ's mother will be getting an MBE?
  4. Is it true? There is a documentary going out soon about the changing face of football on television. Rupert Murdoch is due to talk about it and claims Sky changed the face of football on TV forever.
  5. They say they're not splitting but will only release singles in the future. Their final album is out July 2nd. They are quoted to have said "When you're tied to the album format, you find yourself waiting six months between finishing a record and releasing it. By leaving this behind we can enter a new phase of spontaneity and creativity."

  7. One radio DJ, Hannah Clarkson, has quit her job to watch Big Brother. She worked for Portsmouth station 'The Quay' but quit because her boss wouldn't give her time off. "You're supposed to enjoy the summer months and I just got fed up with the thought of working while Big Brother is on telly 24/7," she said. "I can't bear to be without it." A little extreme!
  8. Tim Lovejoy is leaving as presenter of Sky Sports show Soccer AM after 10 years, bringing to an end one of the longest-running screen partnerships on UK TV, with co-host Helen Chamberlain. Does any one watch it any more?
  9. Two teenagers were given a £80 fine for putting a friend's name and number on a dating site without him knowing. The two carried it out as they thought it was a laugh. The victim was 17, but said to be 19 on the site. The joke back fired when the guy began to be harrassed by potential daters. Not such a funny joke, but have you ever dated someone on the net or considered it. I know its a young demographic here but have you met someone off the net?
  10. A Polish man woke up this week from a 19 year old coma to find the Communist party weren't in power and food wasn't rationed any longer. The railway worker who is now 65 fell into the coma after being hit by a train. Imagine waking up to your country a whole lot better than before. What I have wondered is where all the body fluids go whilst your in a coma. Any idea?
  11. A Dutch TV contest that purported to show a dying woman choose a patient to receive her kidneys was a hoax. The donor was an actress, but the three on the wanting end do need a transplant but new it was a joke. They said it was shown to highlight the shortage of donors. But do you think the media knew this?

Why does every one think facebook is going to make them look sophisticated? It's no better than myspace, and I refuse to join that either. If I want to be reunited with my school friends I will wait till I'm old and need new friends and I will join 'Friends Re-United'.
  15. With CBeebies appealing to pre-schol, CBBC now only appealing to up to 11, where do teenagers go for TV? Could Radio 1 take that brand? Or are teenagers expected to watch adult TV?
  16. Blue Peter will now only be aired twice a week courtesy of a new BBC decision.
  17. Jeremy Clarkson has got a ticking off for describing a car as "very ginger beer", rhyming slang for "queer". In a written ruling, Ofcom said the phrase could offend homosexuals and should not have been used. But can these terms be used freely on-air, or was clarkson offensive? How can the BBC admit this was offensive but allow Chris Moyles to call a ringtone "gay".
  18. According to The Star today the DJs have racked up a £50,000 following a booze-up. "Last night as the partying continued, bar staff at the Marriott Hotel in Preston, Lancs, claimed that by the time the 100-plus group leave tomorrow they’ll have sunk £50,000 of drinks." Waste of tax payers money or what?
  19. Good news for us who aren't Sky Plus subscribers. Sky are stopping the £10 a month charge. "Many of you have said that you want Sky+, but to get it, it needs to be more affordable. We believe that by removing the Sky+ subscription cost for Sky Digital customers, it will mean that more of you are able to enjoy the benefits of Sky+."
  20. A sad day for the BBC. They have lost Neighbours. "Neighbours will disappear from BBC1 when the current contract ends in the spring of next year." Channel 5 and ITV are now bidding for it.
  21. Xfm have now confirmed this
