  1. I think it's the way he's telling the stories that's important. Just cause he gets to hang out with a faded 80s celebrity instead of having the bailiffs round these days doesn't mean he's disappeared up his backside. If Scott was telling these stories matter-of-factly, as if that's the world he lives in, then I'd agree that he's changed. But if you listen to what he's saying he obviously hasn't. He was thrown off his table in the restaurant because of Posh & Becks (but clearly wasn't annoyed by it) and walked past to gawp at them. Surely not good celebrity behaviour! Hanging out with the Hoff? Of course he's going to do that if he's given the chance. But his stories are about how ludicrous the whole thing was rather that how normal this is for him. On the same note though - has Chappers changed? He was hanging with Fabio Cappello, someone from Hollyoaks, and Barry from Eastenders the other day!
  2. Chappers was right - he was truly the palest anybody has ever seen him!
  3. Not at all. But, as I said, they need to be well defined if they are to be a "major part" of the show. She's hardly that. YET!
  4. I just find it amusing that we're speculating about someone who works on the show who hasn't even said a word! Speculating about her character and whether she is different enough to Laura when she hasn't even uttered a word! Maybe they will make her more of a character. Maybe they won't. Many people are referred to on radio shows who aren't big characters on the show. I think TOTDS was saying how characters on shows need to be well defined if they are to be a major part of the show. Sorry to repeat myself but Becky hasn't even said a single word! Maybe we should lay off all this speculation until she makes her first utterance. No pressure, Becky!!
  5. On another note - I didn't catch GMTV this morning so would be interested in knowing what I missed. Catch you laters
  6. Yes, but Pippa was only a temporary replacement. The "Wacky Becky" name is only a continuation of a suggestion about what to call their rubbish paranormal TV show. I hardly see it sticking. And I just can't see how she's being portrayed as a clone. She's hardly done anything on air apart from hide behind a chair and say "boo" to Scott! Laura's not dead. Nor was she Scott's wife or girlfriend. So all this "it's too soon" for anyone to do her job on the show is just a bit baffling. Let's just all wait and see, eh?
  7. I don't think they are. When you say "involved on air" - what do you mean? Becky's not even said anything!! She does the same job as Laura did. She's in the studio. They can hardly say "don't laugh" to her! There is no "new character" as far as I can see? She may be mentioned by Scott but that's it. Even if she was to play a more on air role on the show, I can't see it being done in the same way as Laura. Immature jokes - isn't that the show? Not Becky? Nobody's going to be so stupid as to try to "make a clone of Laura". Surely.
  8. I don't really think Scott having 5 weeks unpaid leave per year is particularly excessive.
  9. I wouldn't call it "plugging". And I'm not quite sure what this 'look like celebrity website' is - don't remember that at all. Myspace is something very relevent to Scott's audience right now and it's a nice competition between Scott and Chapers to see who can have the most friends. As for Wikipedia, it's not like they actually enjoyed their mentions!
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if Your Call changed a bit soon. Maybe moving it to later in the show for a shorter time. Just a hunch.
  11. Wow - I wonder which person has the job of interviewing 400 people a day about work experience. That must be a full time job!
  12. I'd like to ask Emlyn if he thinks he makes Chappers work too hard. Surely not many other presenters spend that much time in the office.
