  1. hahah! Forgot I'd been on here... Nothing's wrong with Harrogate. Except my son isn't there! Also, the weather today here in Santa Clarita is 79deg F (24deg C), sunny, hot, with no noticable wind, sunrise at 6.53am, sunset at 4.45pm. whereas in Harrogate, it was 45deg F (7deg C), raining, freezing and windy, sunrise at 8.17am and sunset at 3.45. Hmmmm... yeah, you're right, why am I not in Harrogate!!!! Tell you what though.. I miss the nightclubs of Leeds. The ones out here are rubbish - almost as good as Cardinal Sins.
  2. Hi everyone. I haven't been here in months. I'm still in America. I never returned to work in Harrogate, I decided to stay here instead. I was wondering if anyone has all the official Scott Mills podcasts the BBC have done up to August. I took my laptop in for repair to Best Buy recently, and they went and redid the harddrive. I only have August onwards on my desktop Regards, Matthew PS. Happy thanksgiving!
  3. I'm currently living it up in California, spending two weeks here for my birthday (which is today!!!), and also visiting my son :) I went to Vegas last week for a couple of days, we went to SeaWorld and the zoo in San Diego this weekend, and also the naval port, and today we're off to Hollywood and Vine for the Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and I think we're gonna eat on Sunset Strip then jet down to Hollywood Hills and do the where-the-stars-live tour with one of those manic guides!! Oh yeah - the weather is beautiful for this time of year, hitting above 20degs, and I'm getting my tan back!!!!

    Buses

Don't you get to use the special bus? I actually thought you lived at the base, in which case there is a special bus. It didn't really cross my mind that you'd be in civillian housing. If you have to walk across the stray, then surely you can get the 36 bus (with LEATHER seats!!!) which run every 10-20 minutes from Leeds?

    Nottingham

I used to work at a hotel in Nottingham. It does have a big gun thing, but I never experienced it. I'm not sure about it having the most pubs and clubs, although with it having 2 unis, it is possible, but then there are plenty of towns and cities which make the same claim. They also claim there are 4 girls for every 1 guy due to one of the unis having some big old course that the women like to study
  6. Yes, it is. And Comedy Dave has just said that http://www.myspace.com/comedydave is false. Although we could have guessed that anyways!

  9. What sort of back alley tattoo studio is willing to ink a minor? They should be reported to the local council and shut down. it's despicable
  10. I've gotten into Dandelion and Burdock recently, after finding that in Asda you can get 3 2lt bottles of it for 90p!!
  11. I don't mind that. I have a sweet tooth! And they come in bigger cans (355ml instead of 340ml) and bottles (20oz instead of half a litre)!
  12. I don't mind that. I have a sweet tooth!
  13. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Americans, or that Americans are at the base or that they shouldn't "fit in" or anything My son's American so I really have no problem with that.# I don't even care about what they do there. But lets face it, it's not exactly a secret that the US use it for monitoring communications.
  14. Menwith Hill: Founded in the 1950s to monitor High Frequency radio communications, it has been operated since 1966 by the US National Security Agency (NSA), and has grown to become the world's largest spy base outside the US. Nominally a British Royal Air Force facility, only physical security and UK liaison functions are carried out by MOD personnel, the vast majority of the staff being British GCHQ and American NSA employees as well as U.S. military personnel. The base is known as the NSA field station F83.
  15. It is too run by Americans. Just that British also work there. I think he is a spy. Those golf balls monitor all radio and telephone communications - don't they?
