  1. 147. He gave a Nolan sister flirt divert 148. He shares his birthday with Vince Vaughn, Nikki Sanderson, and Lacey Turner 149. His radio show went out on TV 150. He fell off a horse in a Robin Hood costume
  2. To be honest, I'm finding it hard to say how bad it was, because I've never experienced an earthquake before, so I've got nothing to compare it to! When it was happening, it was pretty freaky, and seemed fairly serious. Looking back, maybe it wasn't that bad, I don't know. I suppose the fact that there was no serious damage/injuries shows it wasn't too bad.
  3. I'm in York, and we felt it quite strongly here - was all very surreal. Oh, also, the news reports have now changed - last night they were saying it was 4.7 on the Richter scale, and they're now saying it was 5.3.
  4. I remember last year Moyles had a bit of a moan about going to the Brits because by the time he was interviewing people, they'd already spoken to both Edith and Scott, so it was a bit pointless, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.
  5. Can't be too easy going through something like that Hopefully the fact that they know about the potential problems in advance will mean they are able to prevent them, rather than have to fix stuff because they didn't know it was going to go wrong. Best of luck to her and Tom, here's hoping that come June they'll have a beautiful, healthy baby
  6. Scott's doing the lottery tonight and he's psychic. Is he the new Mystic Meg?
  7. I find it slightly ridiculous that the press are still dragging this up. The way I see it, meanings of words change, and some words can have more than one meaning. I come from an area where "gay" is regularly used as a derogatory term, as well as to mean homosexual, and I have never met anyone who in using the term as an insult is doing so because they think being homosexual is a bad thing (I'm not saying such people don't exist, just that I haven't come across them so can't believe they're too common). It's like the word "tap". A tap can be something water comes out of, or it can also be a small hit - the word has two unrelated meanings and I don't see why the same can't be said for "gay". Another point I thought of the other day is the word "dumb". Being dumb is a disability - the inability to speak, but it is also a very commonly used derogatory term. However, when it is used in a negative way, I don't see people complaining because it could offend those unable to speak - what is the difference between this and "gay"? Edit: As for the article, I think the journalist is being very unprofessional, clearly trying to get a huge story out of it where there isn't one. Well done to Scott, for handling it very well, not getting worked up and staying rational.
  8. I suspect it probably has something to do with this.
  9. Sorry!!! I have been lurking occasionally, but apparently students don't get anywhere near as much free time as I was led to believe!! Despite only having had 5 and a half hours contact time per week this term, I seem to have found myself pretty busy! I am back home this weekend though, so shall most likely have lots of free time to waste on here! (Love the snow by the way )
  10. Oooh that's sounds quite funny! And I'll be home for uni when it starts so I'll actually be able to watch it!
  11. I saw this today, and decided to share, to see what you all think. Basically, some people are once again trying to beat the X Factor winner to Christmas Number One, with all proceeds going to charity. You can find out more about them at www.christmasnumberone.org and hear the song, "Smells Like Christmas Time" at www.myspace.com/anarchyxmas . Personally, I don't think the songs too bad - not amazing, but it's certainly alright. And I would love it if the X Factor winner didn't get number one, but something tells me it won't actually happen.
  12. Sorry, but in my opinion, it's not catchy, and I doubt kids will love it. And am I the only one who's never heard of chocolate rain?
  13. It has been playing up for me - I thought it was just my internet being annoying, but it looks like maybe that wasn't the problem!
  14. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08_Q-6cAMUg"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08_Q-6cAMUg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> I particularly like the bit where he thinks he's talking into the microphone, when he's actually nowhere near it
  15. I've never watched Shameless. Or My Name is Earl.
  16. I've never watched an episode of Emmerdale.
  17. I normally go into a bakers with an indoor seating bit, where you can normally get a sandwich or a jacket potato or something like that.
  18. I've never told anyone lol. I don't think any of my friends even know I listen to Scott Mills They all hate talking on the radio, and as soon as someone starts speaking they change the station to find one playing music!
  19. I've never seen Pulp Fiction, any of the Rocky films, Saving Private Ryan, any of the Lord of the Rings films (even though I own one on DVD). I've never taken drugs. I've never been to a funeral. I've never had a detention. I've never failed an exam.
  20. If I'm on a bus by myself and bored, I quite often do this. I used to have a teacher who would use bluetooth as a way to see which kids had their mobiles at school, then confiscated them!
  21. JK and Joel might have needed to be in a different studio for some reason? (The cameras were only in the one studio all day)
  22. Yeah, it kind of makes me wonder why they bothered with that Beta, when they clearly had the technology to make it work for everybody already!
  23. This is great They should have streaming all the time lol. Also, you should be able to "watch again" as well as listen again
  24. Derby drew with Liverpool, so neither team made it through to the next round. Boro beat Newcastle, making it through to the next round. They play a quarter final match tonight, against Sunderland I think.
