Kirsten O'Brien, doing a travel double-shift "powered by biscuits", told Mark Goodier how starstruck Sara Cox had been meeting Emma Thompson on that morning's breakfast show. The pair were discussing Thompson's Nanny McPhee musical when Kirsten relayed that Thompson said she could "wiffle" – leaving both Kirsten and Mark stumped. "I've never heard the word wiffle before," Mark admitted, before Kirsten likened it to a posh version of "winnie".

The One Second to Name game ran hot for two days running, with Mark revealing he'd guessed the clip correctly himself the day before as well as this one. After plenty of wrong guesses – Phil Collins, Mel and Kim, Culture Beat and Depeche Mode all tried and failed – Dave from Hastings, fresh from a five-mile cycle round Eastbourne with his "work wife" Rebecca, worked out the answer was the Reynolds Girls' "I'd Rather Jack" from the clue about sisters wanting "someone with a lot of skills". Dave used his win to send shout-outs to his bosses and, sweetly, to his husband Jack.

Mark also dug into his "goodie bag" for Force MD's "Tender Love", recalling a bizarre trip to Minneapolis where he was meant to interview the song's writers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, only to find they'd upped and moved to LA the day before without telling anyone. Listener Tammy got in touch to say the same song was the one her husband Chris sent her before they married, adding they're now sixteen years into marriage because of it.
