Matt Edmondson and Mollie King kicked off with Mollie's tale of woe: a soaking from her scooter's back wheel left her with exactly one wet leg, prompting a new game asking listeners which band name best sums up their day. It followed Mollie's confession that she'd previously told Matt she reckoned she could, on a good day, "pull" someone she rated among the three most desirable women in the world, a claim that sent the pair off to ask other Radio 1 DJs who they thought they could pull. Katie Thistleton plumped for Paul Rudd, Emil Franchi went for Olivia Cooke, Jerry named Kim Kardashian and Ella Langley, and Jack Saunders insisted "anyone, anywhere" is possible, pointing to his own marriage as proof.
Mol's Teaser returned as a "chorus through a thesaurus", with listeners decoding cryptically rewritten lyrics to Olivia Rodrigo's song to win a podium spot; Charlie the dog walker, Lila and Helen, and Richard all made the top three.
There was also a Traitors-style phone game with producer Sam, who had to work out whether Matt or Mollie was lying about being "faithful." Mollie insisted she was faithful throughout, while Matt stumbled over his answer, leading Sam to back Mollie as the "traitor" for a second week running. Mollie ended up vindicated, declaring herself faithful "with actually pride in my heart," while Matt's hesitation proved telling.
Nothing But Thieves visited the Live Lounge, performing their own material and a cover, and contributed a sincere Life Lesson Lounge message from Conor: "smell the flowers more."
