GK Barry apologises to a fart-plagued Gary

The GK Barry ShowRecap of the show on

Slip It In turned chaotic on GK Barry's Thursday show, as she and guest Jeremiah Asiamah tried to out-prank each other down the phone. Jerry went first, ringing his mate Gary and somehow working "farty bum" into a long, increasingly concerned conversation about garlic remedies 18 times before Gary realised he was live on Radio 1 – "Gary, so handsome, grace, aka GK Barry… I'm so sorry about his farty bum," GK laughed afterwards. Not to be beaten, GK rang Oti Mabuse and spun an elaborate story about a fake "ra-ra-romance" segment for daytime TV, slipping the word "ra" in a jaw-dropping 51 times according to producer Marky Mark's VAR check – a new show record she insists "no one's ever going to beat."

Elsewhere, listeners' tales of food betraying them went head to head in Worse First Is Worse. Alfie recounted being knocked unconscious by a flying slice of watermelon at school, while Letitia's horror story saw her spill tomato soup over a customer, then slip in the mess and spill wine over him too. GK trumped them both with her own tale of eating dodgy eggs benedict on an early date, leading to a food-poisoning disaster at her girlfriend's family home loud enough to be heard through the bathroom door.

GK also confessed her "Barryisms," including ironing her bed sheets, favouriting one dog over the others, and driving "insufferably slow" because she's "scared of the M25."
