Good afternoon – it's Thursday and here's the low down of today's Scott Mills show. Thank you to Ema for the last two reviews.

Scott was feeling bad today after splitting up a couple yesterday, and callers wanted to know how many people he was going to split up today. Scott decided as of today it would be the 'all new and improved nice Scott Mills show' with nice fluffy features. How long will it last? Scott asked all listeners to remove 07770 756 408 out of their phones, and offered the feature to Chappers and Dave.

Much emphasis this week on the BRITs 2006, where Radio 1 listeners have the chance to vote for 'Best Breakthrough Act'. Arctic Monkeys, James Blunt, Kaiser Chiefs, KT Tunstall and the Magic Numbers are in this category. Details of how to vote are on Radio 1 online, or on the Radio 1 station every 10 minutes.
Lorraine Kelly – She's a fan of River City too

Scott tried to revive the love between Alex and Gemma today. He got Lorraine Kelly on to the case, and got her on the air. Lorraine called Scott and got Scott to apologise to him. Lorraine explained that Gemma still wanted to go out with Alex, and asked her to consider going out with her again. Alex said he'd overreacted and both Scott and Gemma apologised. She said he could keep the 'ex' boxes, and Scott sent the two on a romantic weekend in Paris. This Scott and Lorraine feature has the potential for a cheap Saturday night ITV1 show, don't you think? Scott decided he wasn't liking the 'be nice' attitude to the show, and just before five o'clock Flirt Divert was back on, as was his usual tricks.
Happy Birthday George
It was Georgina's birthday today, and she spent some of her day keeping it real in The Ivy where she was on the wine. The bottled mineral water was too expensive apparently.

Laura's Diary
Laura's Diary continued today, and today's extract comes from 17th September 1997. Today was a weird one for Laura, she was in her new room at Glasgow University- it was quite small and she has her own sink. She had a shower, a kitchen and two toilets. She managed to hold her emotions together until her friends and family left. She wasn't liking the university (at this point Mary was trying to put some emo into it). Ben had been to the house the night before, and her parents gave them some space. The duvet was already packed up, so they tried not to make a mess of Mary's bed. Ben gave Laura a tape of his favourite music to listen to at university and was even narrated. It was all very emo. Scott played some of the tape to the listeners today. Scott wanted to end Laura's Diary from this point, and so wanted to hear from those that wanted to keep it. The general reaction from the texts and calls were to keep it. So tune in Monday afternoon from 5.15pm for more Laura's Diary.
Paul wanted revenge on Mrs Clements, a teacher, who is the prankster in the staff room. She likes to nick fellow colleagues cars and pranks like that. Mr Hopkin (or Paul) informed all of the classes about Scott's show, and tonight Chappers got revenge on Mrs Clements. Chappers rang Mrs Clements posing as a parent of Robert (someone in her geography class) and said he has a crush on her and that he talks about her quite a lot. He apparently has a lot of photographs and posters of her in his bedroom but she hadn't noticed. He wanted to know if she would go out for a date with Robert for a night over the weekend. Mrs Clements wasn't happy about the whole idea, as a teacher and a married woman. She was speechless. Chappers eventually gave in and explained Mr Hopkins had put Chappers up for the joke.
Mrs Clements: "I'll kill him!"
Chappers: "Just be pleased you said no to the dates otherwise you'd have even more problems"

The +10 Challenge
Today Chappers was after some more players for the adidas +10 Challenge. He put one caller up against Scott and had to decide whether certain stars were footballers or not. 16 – 18 year could play with Gary Neville and Chappers (so to speak). Chappers gave footballers such as 'Brian Penis' and 'Onme Eadson', causing much laughter in the studio.
