As you probably well know, Scott and the team have been filling in for Chris Moyles on the breakfast show since Tuesday but will return back to their warm bosom that is in the afternoons from 4pm as of next week. JK and Joel covered for Scott so it was all good and normal service resumes from Monday.
These past few days have seen the resurrection of Laura’s Diary, but this time she was aged 16, and she was still chasing the boys. You can hear Laura’s Diary on this week’s podcast that you can get from on the Radio 1 homepage. Carpark Price Is Right also made a comeback!
Seeing as Celeb Big Brother started last night, this was at the top of the conversation list. Many people were complaining on the phones and txts as Scott told everyone yesterday his insider-friend told him who’d be in the house, but hardly anyone were.
Also, Scott was shattered after swimming yesterday. He was particularly interested afterwards after seeing a naked man “wave his towel all over the shop” while he dried off in the changing rooms. And from my personal experiences in changing rooms I can relate to that… why can’t the ugly naked guy go in the damn cubicle to dry off?! Scott then posed the question “Do women go around the changing room naked?”, which got an interesting response. Obviously, Scott has never seen the film “Porkies”. Apparently, many old women go naked in changing rooms and naked people in changing rooms are called in the trade as “Displayers”.
Pucker Up For the FA Cup
A new game involving the Radio 1 DJs debuted today and it involves football and getting off with someone. Most of the Radio 1 DJs are taking part and have to predict the FA Cup scores over the weekend. The bottom two in the predictions have to kiss each other on the mouth for at least 3 seconds! Interesting, eh?

Random Acts of Kindness
Today featured Sue, whose boyfriend of 2 years decided to break up with her on Christmas Eve. She went to the pub on Christmas Day to drown her sorrows and some guys noticed her and approached her to see what was wrong. The guys then invited her over for lunch and looked after her, making her feel very welcome. To say thanks, Scott rang the guys who invited her (Rob, Ian and Elaine) to thank her. Scott invited Elaine, and Sue, to a Robbie Williams concert in London just to say thanks!
Laura’s Dairy
To check some photos of Laura in her teenage years – check out Radio 1 online! Anyway, in the first instalment we learnt that Anthony the piano teacher’s friend could not make it to the double date. In the second instalment, Laura’s sister, Mary, read to us that Laura prepared herself for the Shed Seven concert with Anthony. Unfortunately, Anthony asked Laura if he could then bring his girlfriend… she was heartbroken. This was the poem she wrote, followed by ‘Goodbye My Lover’ by James Blunt.

Today’s contestants were Vicky from Grimsby and another Scott Mills (yes, there’s another Scott Mills)! The first prize was a bath wine-holder, won by Vicky. The second prize was a LavNav (a kinda toilet light), won by Scott Mills. The third and final prize was Fart-Slippers, like a whoopee cushion for your feet, won by the game’s winner – Mr. Scott Mills!
