5 July 2005: Star Phone, The Takeaway Game and Flirt Divert

Well it's Day Two of the Breakfast Show and I'm exhausted already. And I'm not even part of their team! Getting clips from the shows and reviewing it. Takes its toll! Anyway, on with Tuesday.

Morning Banter

Chappers wouldn't cry yesterday, but today he has "an upset stomach". But when the Brown Noise was played Chappers refuse to listen, claiming that he doesn't need it. One caller asked Scott not to play the noise as they had to get to work whilst another suggested Chappers needed some Bisto to "thicken it up". Natasha off of Strictly Come Dancing has gone up a dress size, Doctor Who might appear in drag in the next series and Brad Pitt is helping design a BBC Restaurant – I'm sure Chappers, Laura and Scott can't wait to wine and dine there. Chappers was entertained by Eminem's new lyrics:

"Make my pee pee go"

Jingle #5

"Welcome everybody to The Chris Moyles Show,

But there's no Chris today as you may already know,

He's gone away on holiday, which he does quite a lot,

It's all gonna be okay though 'cos instead we've got Scott

The Chris Moyles Show with Scott Mills ‘cos Chris is on Holiday… National Radio 1…"

Celebrity Time Check on Radio 1

The 7.10 Time Check was with Jodie Marsh. A texter reckoned she had to be up at that time to get Kenzie off to school. And I think Keith Harris was the second one (can't actually remember!)

Your Home is at Risk

Sadly they're not allowing kids to gamble their guinea pigs. It's cruel and it's not right! (And Chappers and Scott doesn't want them).

Today's gambler was six-year-old Ellis who has PE at school today and claims he even has an ASBO to his name! Laura can't get one but a six-year-old can. He gambled a diamond ring for a Green Day CD, a motorbike (which apparently doesn't work well) for a Star Wars mask and his mum's car, a Saab, for a Nintendo DS. All he had to do was spell the name of the twelve sided shape – which I believe is spelt 'dodecahedron'. This was a boy (his voice hadn't broken) although there was some dispute it was the girl from yesterday. I can't believe there are some people out there who think this feature is fixed, it's disgraceful…

Mariah Carey on the show

Mariah Carey was today's star guest on the show. Scott was hoping she wasn't going to be late to prove she isn't a diva. As if they need another diva on the show when they have Laura! Scott decided to use the word "marquee" if she made a diva-style entrance, but didn't need to as apparently she was okay. She spoke about Live8 and joked that she was the only one throwing a strop backstage.

Chappers: "I don't think any diva would use the Radio 1 toilets!"

Scott had some Mariah Carey tabloid stories. She claimed that "every friend should no how to air kiss" to avoid ruining her make-up.

Chappers: "We air kiss don't we Scott!"

Her dog has three websites created by fans and she said she would star in a sitcom because she thinks she's "frigging funny". But there were some stories she did deny and then answered some questions from the listeners on the phone. Chappers, despite sounding nervous to be around Mariah, definitely made the interview a lot more amusing otherwise it would have been pretty dull.

Apparently one of her people asked for water at room temperate. Laura went to the water cooler, got some water and put some hot water in to get it to room temperature. Sounds sensible to me. She gave it to the lady and apparently she turned around in disgust wanting "a litre bottle of water, sealed, at room temperature".

Star Phone

Scott then gave her then Radio 1 Star Phone, it's not that exciting, it's just a pre-pay mobile phone and every so often Scott was going to call her. Mariah's task is to pass the phone on to another celebrity that she meets, almost a mobile phone pass the parcel, with a mobile phone. It's not the Flirt Divert idea by the way; he's not going to give out the mobile number!

Scott: "To be honest I just want big names Mariah"

Then towards the end of the show Scott gave Mariah a ring. She answered, but hasn't met anyone famous yet since speaking to Scott. I'm surprised one of her 'slaves' didn't answer! Someone who clearly knows Scott very well said that Scott would probably end up texting Mariah when drunk. Ah yes, and Scott forgot to give her a charger for the phone. Doesn't look like this feature will last long!

Jingle #6

"Chris Moyles works very hard, he does ten hours a day,

We tell him to go home, but in the office he will stay,

He never shows and goes, that would really suck,

But now he's on holiday, he doesn't show much interest…

The Chris Moyles Show, National Radio 1…"

The Trailers are on the move

According to someone on the e-mail Trailer Park Boys has been moved from 10pm to 12am on Paramount. Scott's disgusted and wants it back at the normal time. According to Scott in Heat it's his favourite show ever

Laura's back out on the streets

No she's not been thrown out of her home, but she's out on a new mission. Today she recalled the moment the guy a man got his "todger" out in a pub, as she talks about on her Unofficial Mills page. Today she was pregnant, although Scott would like to make it clear that he didn't get her up the duff. She had one of those Eastenders style pregnancy outfits, very fetching I'm sure. Her aim for the day was to see how far she can go pretending to be pregnant. She managed to push to the front of the queue at a Bus Stop. A nice lady apparently got up for her so she could sit down. The young lady then moved to allow her to put her feet up when asked. Never one to milk the situation (no pregnancy pun intended there) she got someone to fan her with a newspaper because she was having "hot flushes".

Rate My Listener

Yesterday's Rate My Listener was Becky from Bristol sounding like she's in a wind tunnel. All of her mates have been apparently rating her minging, but clearly she isn't. Infact according to the listener vote she's 42% 'buff' and I quite agree.

[Russ]

Today's Rate My Listener is Russ from Bournemouth and is 26. There's even a gazebo in the background of his picture. To be honest he sounded a bit dull. His ideal woman would be Kylie and at the moment he's single. His chest size is 38. Don't forget to rate him here. At the time of the show he's been rated minging, but he claims the ratings have been infiltrated by his work colleagues.

Scott: "Ahh… You keep thinking that…"

Tomorrow on the Breakfast Show

Owen Wilson will be on the show tomorrow, although poor Scott's a bit confused – he thought it was Richard "I don't believe it" Wilson.

Scott: "Rubbish I'll have to get rid of these questions then… My first one is 'Do people keep rushing up to you in the streets saying 'I don't believe it!'"

He's the guy out of Meet the Fockers and Meet the Parents, Rushmore and Wedding Crashers. It's not the guy off One Foot in the Grave.

Also on the Show

There was a repeat of the Takeaway Game from yesterday. Registered users can hear this on our message board.

But where was the Record of The Week?

Great show once again today and great to see involvement from the trio from the show. Give the team some feedback by visiting our message board, and don't forget to listen to Vernon from 4pm. Thanks to message board users who tried to get the website mentioned on today's show, maybe tomorrow eh?
