Alison Hammond ignored the normal interview rules
Scott and Chris had become fascinated by Alison Hammond’s interview with Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling for Blade Runner 2049.
While most interviewers would have pretended to be experts, Alison simply admitted she had never seen the original Blade Runner.
Scott loved the honesty, particularly because she was saying it directly to Harrison Ford.
The conversation descended into laughter, alcohol and a much looser interview than the actors had probably experienced during the rest of the publicity tour.
Scott compared it with his own famous Mila Kunis interview: sometimes abandoning the standard questions was exactly what made an interview memorable.
Freshers had to confess in front of their parents
The Freshers Game became especially awkward.
A student and their parent were connected on the phone while the parent sat in the student’s old bedroom at home.
The parent then had to answer multiple-choice questions about what the fresher had really been doing during their first weeks at university.
Correct answers could save treasured possessions or earn rewards. Wrong answers meant items from the bedroom could be sacrificed as the room was reclaimed.
The problem was that all three possible answers to each question were embarrassing enough that simply hearing them read aloud in front of a parent was uncomfortable.
Scott moved towards another Bangers clean sweep
Scott was also four wins into the Bangers week and beginning to contemplate another 5–0 result after the previous Friday’s trouser-dropping forfeit.
The possibility of making Chris suffer the same fate was now very real.
