Max appears on a left buttock
A photograph spreads online of a hairy bottom carrying Max Branning’s face, the words “Max Branning” and his phrase “I can’t help myself”. Scott reaches Jake Wood, who learned about it when the tattooed man’s sister sent him the image.
Jake has never met the owner and was not asked for permission. He describes a mixture of pride and mild disgust, jokes that the surrounding hair improves his own hairline and accepts that the left buttock was probably the correct location. He has also heard from Tattoo Fixers, who are prepared to alter the tribute if its owner eventually regrets it.
The Google Game reveals too much
On the traditional annual date of 14 September, Scott and Chris revive the Google Game. They must complete popular searches beginning with phrases such as “Is it strange to…” and “Should I go to uni with…”.
Chris reveals that his unfinished house still has no toilet and that he lightly tickles his own arm when nobody else is available. He also keeps his eyes open while kissing unless he consciously remembers to close them. Their sensible guesses fail against actual searches about attraction to numbers, taking tonsillitis to university and whether relationships should continue into student life.
Bastille return to the Live Lounge
Dan Smith and Kyle Simmons discuss Bastille’s performance and their unexpected appearance dancing on Strictly Come Dancing. A friend films life on tour, giving the band a private documentary even if an autobiography feels premature.
They play Real or No Real after covering MØ’s “Final Song” in the Live Lounge. The game ends level at 10 points each, while Jake asks to be reconnected if the tattoo owner is found.
