Chris returns from the fires
Chris comes back from a deliberately straightforward holiday in Spain, only for forest fires to approach his accommodation and force him to leave. Scott had watched the increasingly alarming updates on social media and is relieved to have him safely back beside his still largely empty house.
The renovation has supplied Chris with a barbecue but little else. Attempting to clean after his return, he dismantles the Hoover and places its rigid nozzle against the dusty television. The movement cracks the screen, adding an expensive domestic failure to an already eventful week.
Rinder learns from the goddess
Judge Rinder reports after his first full week training with Oksana Platero. Her feedback is delivered partly in rapid Russian, but he understands enough to know that she is not satisfied. Oksana calls herself “goddess” and responds to the suggestion of being fired from a cannon with dry disapproval.
Scott tries to guess Rinder’s first song as Blue’s “All Rise”, but is told it will not be used. Rinder is amused by Scott judging anybody’s dancing and tells him that the last time they met he had more luggage in his nostril than somebody travelling through Europe.
Cheese belongs inside the chips
In the final Instant Dragons’ Den of the current series, Liam pitches Deborah Meaden chips filled with cheese. Ordinary cheesy chips disappoint him because the topping covers only the upper layer; every one of his stuffed chips would remain cheesy to the end.
Deborah has never eaten cheesy chips and suggests mixing the box or serving cheese as a dip. She refuses to invest, exasperated that the programme has reduced her to discussing the distribution of cheese across takeaway chips. Scott and Chris nevertheless hail Liam as a visionary and begin considering how his invention could be manufactured.
