The world keeps the nostalgia coming
Scott and Chris expand the Whooo Game into a contest against eight callers. Everybody must name something old or forgotten and follow it with a mighty “whooo”, remaining in the game until the ideas run out.
The suggestions include phone cards, school sayings, Liberty X, Tots TV, Follow Friday, BlackBerry Messenger, dinner ladies ringing school bells, Pizza Hut’s ice-cream factory, Bernard’s Watch, fortune-telling plastic fish, red-and-blue 3D glasses and children’s parties at McDonald’s. Nobody drops out when expected. Eventually Scott exhausts his list and ends the game himself, declaring the listeners’ performance the best yet.
Scott takes Bangers 3–2
The week’s Bangers score is tied at 2–2. Chris selects Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass”, while Scott offers LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem”, despite the memories of his own much-mocked dance to the song.
Listener Andy chooses Scott, giving him the week by three points to two. Chris tries to replay the old dancing clip in the studio, prompting a much sharper order from Scott to turn it off and pay attention to the programme.
A celebrity crisp survey
Matthew calls with a complaint: he and a friend have repeatedly asked Scott and Chris for their favourite crisp flavours and received no response. The question is part of a personal project collecting answers from celebrities, including Greg Wallace and Clara Amfo.
Scott initially claims prawn cocktail, then admits his true favourite is Pom-Bear. Once convinced the enquiry is harmless rather than a specialist fetish, he and Chris suggest more celebrities for Matthew to contact. Listeners find the project strange and several note that Matthew sounds remarkably like Alan Shearer, but his crisp investigation continues.
