Ne-Yo learns the Inbetweeners dance
Listener Sean demonstrated his ability to name every national capital, immediately answering questions about Lithuania, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Luxembourg and Burkina Faso. His girlfriend apparently found the talent embarrassing rather than impressive, but Scott kept calling him back with increasingly difficult tests and declared him a particularly entertaining “mixed bag”.
Radio 1 film critic Reanna returned to face Chris in Innuendo Bingo. Clips involving Lisa Tarbuck, Alexandra Burke, Andy Murray, Coronation Street, John Humphrys and a regional food called a growler soaked them both. Chris’s old jeans developed another badly positioned hole during the game, so a Prince Harry mask was placed across his lap while the cameras continued rolling.
Scott decided that his own sneeze sounded too loud, predictable and insufficiently manly. Chris searched online for alternatives and played a collection of increasingly strange examples until Scott chose a deeper sound he thought he could learn. Listener Cam had already tried adopting the same sneeze in a café, only to receive a hostile look from the woman sitting beside him.
Ne-Yo discussed receiving the Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame, admitting that he had felt unworthy beside the writer of “The Gambler”. He spoke about writing for Rihanna, working with Conor Maynard after discovering his YouTube cover, and buying his mother a house mistakenly reported online as his own. He also joked about filling his real home with portraits of himself, robots and a race car used as a bed.
Chris taught Ne-Yo the dance from The Inbetweeners, and the singer promised to try it after a couple of drinks and send the evidence back. Grimmy later joined Scott for an Oh, What’s Occurring? question about Wimbledon’s Centre Court roof. They guessed that commentators had mentioned it 20 or 26 times on the final day, but the compilation contained 35 references to the roof and its drainage.
