A podcast marked Explicit
Scott and Beccy considered a bold new podcast strategy: adding an Explicit label to the description despite having no intention of making the programme any ruder. Beccy had noticed that explicit releases performed well in the download chart and thought the warning alone might help the show finally beat rivals such as The Archers.
The programme also looked back at the week’s highlights for podcast listeners, including Scott’s interview with Nicki Minaj and the waterlogged Innuendo Bingo duel between Beccy and Chris. Chris’s recurring position as an unofficial extra member of the show was acknowledged with the familiar joke that he had become part of the furniture.
The phone-made music project was still running too, with Scott setting fresh homework for the team. It made an appropriate end to the month: a show which had begun with Chris hoping to be Batman was now inviting listeners to download a supposedly explicit podcast full of homemade songs and running jokes.
