Scott starts a new band
Scott returned to the band he had started with his flatmate after making a song on their phones in dressing gowns. The pair had no conventional studio setup, but that did not stop the programme treating their synth duo as a serious musical launch.
The random-article button on Wikipedia became the unlikely naming tool. Scott and listeners spun out names such as Vehicle Registration Plates of Uruguay, Quantum Fluid and Pigeon Keeping, debating which sounded like credible indie acts and which sounded more like administrative paperwork.
Chris was keen to attach himself to the project, despite having little evidence that he could improve it. The day laid the groundwork for his increasingly desperate campaign to persuade Scott’s flatmate to let him join.
