Eurovision’s winner returns
Nemo joined Scott after winning Eurovision for Switzerland with The Code.
The victory had transformed an already busy schedule into a relentless sequence of interviews, travel and appearances.
Scott welcomed Nemo back after first meeting them during the pre-contest build-up and broadcasting from Malmö.
The Spinterview
Nemo answered rapid-fire questions while pedalling in Scott’s spin studio.
The questions covered:
– an ideal day out: cinema and pizza
– the preferred Swiss host city: hometown Biel
– whether they had taken an all-inclusive holiday: yes, as a child
– favourite film: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
– what was in their pockets: nothing, because the outfit had no pockets
– the best advice they had received
Nemo’s final answer was effectively a warning not to do a Spinterview.
The physical effort left them needing to remain seated briefly after the bike stopped.
Scott reassured listeners that he had not broken the Eurovision winner.
The Code
Scott replayed The Code and reflected on how strongly listeners had supported Nemo during the contest.
Messages praised the combination of vocals, staging and personal meaning.
The Birthday Game: Jill
Jill turned 58 and shared her birthday with Notorious B.I.G., Mr T and Olympic diver Tom Daley.
She discussed an earlier comedy encounter and remained enthusiastic despite Scott questioning whether the story could safely be retold on radio.
The Birthday Game supplied her with a number-one record from 21 May.
The Music Police
Scott reminded listeners that the Music Police was available to the public but repeatedly warned producer Ben to stop submitting personal cases.
Ben’s latest fragment was quickly recognised as Ash’s Girl from Mars, confirming that the force could solve it but should not become his private music-identification service.
