Wedding songs that do not work
Scott asked listeners to help with music for his wedding in Spain.
A guitar duo had supplied a very long song list, but he had begun crossing out tracks whose lyrics sounded unsuitable.
His rejected choices included:

Listeners contributed stories about first dances to breakup songs, including Make You Feel My Love, I Will Always Love You, Good Riddance and Love on the Rocks.
The theme from Forrest Gump survived the cut after a listener explained how moving it had been at her own wedding.
The Birthday Game: Rachel
Rachel from Leigh-on-Sea turned 39.
She had retrained as a gardener during lockdown after deciding she did not want to return to office work.
Rachel was recovering from a party that had begun with a hired pub room and ended with karaoke at 3am, including Zombie and I Know Him So Well.
She wanted upbeat 1990s music.
Her first spin was Lena Martell’s One Day at a Time. Rachel rejected it.
The second was Professor Green featuring Emeli Sandé with Read All About It. She gambled again.
Her compulsory final song was Five’s Keep On Movin’, number one in 1999.
Rachel accepted it and returned to tackling brambles.
Miriam Margolyes
Miriam Margolyes joined Scott and lived up to her description as the programme’s naughtiest national treasure.
The conversation was characteristically candid, mischievous and unpredictable.
Listeners described the interview as everything they had hoped for.
Scott later announced that an extended version, including material not used on air, would appear in the weekly podcast on BBC Sounds.
