Scott discussed research suggesting one in three people regarded their partner as the most annoying person they knew.
People believed their partners had an average of five irritating habits and spent around a fifth of the day being annoyed by them.
Producer Sarah listed several complaints about her husband Angus.
He left muesli bowls unrinsed beside the sink until the cereal became almost impossible to remove.
He regularly asked her to find things that were directly in front of him, never used the shower squeegee and left boiled-egg shells in a pan beside the sink.
A listener suggested adding bicarbonate of soda while boiling eggs so the shell came away more easily.
Other complaints included leaving cupboard doors open, failing to flush the toilet at night, constantly losing phones and scraping excess butter back into the tub along with toast crumbs.
One listener said his complaints about his wife fitted on a Post-it note, while her complaints about him filled three sheets of A4.
The Birthday Game: Zoe
Zoe from Droitwich turned 50.
She volunteered at the Droitwich Community Pantry and Fridge, where the team prepared around 150 food parcels each Wednesday using rescued food.
Her fellow volunteers sent a surprise message thanking her and wishing her a birthday filled with fizz, joy, caterpillar cake and “grown-up orange squash”.
Zoe was celebrating by seeing Peter Kay in Birmingham with her husband and friends Adam and Eve.
She shared her birthday with the late Queen Elizabeth II, Robert Smith, Patti LuPone, James McAvoy and Iggy Pop.
Zoe specifically requested no ballad and no novelty song.
Her first spin was Lonnie Donegan’s My Old Man’s a Dustman. She rejected the novelty record immediately.
The second was the Bay City Rollers’ Bye Bye Baby. Zoe liked the era but chose to gamble again.
Her compulsory final song was LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem, number one in 2011.
Zoe accepted it as much better suited to a Friday birthday, although Scott pointed out that it still contained an element of novelty.
