6 December 2022: Sooty, Sweep and a risky Birthday Game

Sooty and Sweep

Sooty and Sweep joined Scott for a special Speedmates.

Because Sooty communicates through whispers and Sweep largely through squeaks, their handler Richard Cadell helped interpret the answers.

The game tested memories from their long television partnership and the things each character liked or disliked.

Scott treated the pair exactly like human workmates, including disagreements over whether their answers genuinely matched.

The Birthday Game: Sam

Sam from Leeds wanted something from the 1990s or 2000s.

His first spin was Boney M’s Mary’s Boy Child – Oh My Lord. Sam rejected the Christmas song.

The second was the Pussycat Dolls’ Stickwitu. Although it came from his preferred era, he decided to gamble again.

The final spin was The Police’s Walking on the Moon.

Sam admitted that he partly wished he had kept the Pussycat Dolls, but said: “You’ve got to be in it to the end.”

The Traitors

Scott recommended the new reality programme The Traitors and said it had already become one of his favourites.

He was particularly interested in the paranoia created when contestants tried to identify the hidden traitors.

Handover

Scott handed over after another reminder that Birthday Game contestants were not guaranteed a better final spin.
