26 May 2016: Caspar Lee returns to Innuendo Bingo with his mum’s stories

Can you tweet while off sick?

Scott’s voice had deteriorated ahead of Big Weekend, despite an early night and an attempt at silence. That led him to argue that people absent from work through illness should avoid social media because jokes and photographs could give employers the wrong impression.

Chris pointed out that moving two thumbs did not prove somebody was fit to work. Listeners largely agreed with him, although people working in human resources said employers sometimes checked public posts. One caller knew somebody dismissed after an old photograph was mistaken for a current night out.

Caspar and his mum

Caspar Lee arrived after taking his mother to meet Lorraine Kelly on live television. His new book told his life story through his mother’s memories and his own annotations. He had corrected incidents he remembered differently and covered photographs he considered too revealing.

He discussed moving from South Africa to live with people he had known only online, meeting The Stig while filming a driving challenge and competing with ComedyShortsGamer. Caspar then faced Chris in Innuendo Bingo. Without Joe Sugg beside him, he could not repeat the previous visit’s tactic of abandoning the rules and throwing whole cups, but still produced another wet game.

A room for free

Chris introduced Kai, who lived with a successful technology entrepreneur in an £8m London penthouse. They had advertised spare rooms without rent or bills because they wanted to choose interesting housemates without money influencing the decision.

More than 10,000 people applied, forcing them to hire someone to process the responses. Scott and Chris volunteered to reduce the final group and stage a Dragons’ Den-style audition. Kai welcomed the help, while Chris’s own friends were ruled out almost immediately.

Last decisions before Exeter

Dev played Real or No Real. Genuine estimates suggested an advert on Chris Martin’s hand during a Coldplay concert would be worth about £3m, while “Big Daddy Duke” was not the Duchess of Cambridge’s pet name for Prince William.

Scott and Chris also planned the Radio 1 train to Exeter with Dev and the rest of the station. The show ended with the Big Weekend journey, Caspar’s Bingo and Scott’s failing voice all due to collide over the next few days.
