Beccy switches on Bridgwater’s Christmas lights
Beccy headed back to Bridgwater to switch on the town’s Christmas lights, with Scott treating the occasion as the fulfilment of a small-town celebrity dream. He replayed her stage entrance and encouraged her to imagine addressing the crowd as “my fans”, before the countdown and switch-on.
The programme also heard from Unlucky Gary, who had set out for a London sightseeing day and somehow found himself trapped inside the police cordon around the student protests. A foreign-TV-show game and a report from a luxury-shop sales assistant added more material, but Beccy’s triumphant lights switch was the centrepiece.
