Guffgate takes over the show
Sara looked back at a slightly awkward encounter with Paloma Faith, after having previously questioned the singer’s unusual wardrobe. Beccy reassured her that Paloma had raised the subject herself, but the pair still treated the exchange as another example of the show accidentally offending people it liked.
The afternoon also revisited Sara’s attempt to find “a Perry” to stand in for Sam Ryder in a quiz. The result was an ice-cream man who turned out to be called Andy, a wonderfully unnecessary workaround that summed up the programme’s love of making simple tasks much harder than they needed to be.
