Scott’s Trip to LA
In Scott’s week off, he jetted off to LA (nothing like a bit of glamour eh). He brags about how he was in actual Wisteria Lane off’ve Desperate Housewives, had the urge to give Rihanna a wave and how he got his picture taken next to the tree Lyndsey Lohan crashed into.
Chappers Swings for Download
To win the download festival tickets, the two contestants had to guess which song Chappers was singing from one of the bands playing at Download. Only, he put a jazz spin to it. And very good he was too. After a discussion about who was playing at the festival: Lez zeppelin (lesbians tribute act to Led Zepelin), listeners decided Chappers could be Ray Quinns gay tribute act: Sing When Youre Mingin’ and all that.
Homies from the 80’s
Scott has found a rap documentary from the 80’s that he wants to start a campaign to get it back on the telly. You would think it would be Westwood on there dishing out his advice, but its Radio 1’s very own, dance expert, Dave Pearce. Who by the way, used to have his own hip hop show on a local radio station. He’s no Westwood, but he did use the phrase “wheels of steel”. He soudsna bit posh, as do the boys he is speaking to. “Two Hype Posse” are the first rappers he peaks to, if you can call them that. From Surrey, it’s a group of lads whos voice hasn’t broken and who sound about 12. They don’t make music about their life or about the ghettos, but because its catchy and easier to understand than the news. But Scott’s favourite is MC Kaos, whos is the beat boxer. Apparently came across is ‘talent’ by accidentally sneezing in maths class and noticing it sounded like a snare drum.
Next group Dave Pearce spoke to was Code Name Rebel Crew from Hertfordshire. They tackle the political views of the world with their music… ay ay, high brow. He doesn’t agree with sky tv, by the way.
Wanger and Wangers
Laura was under the impression that ‘wanger’ meant boys bits. But after watching Laura (Welsh, Fat, Beth Ditto-a-like) from big brother, who said in her video she gets called ‘Wangers’ by her friend. Now Laura is a bit confused as to what exactly he/she is. Apparently, up and down the country, Wanger(s) ranges from meaning big boobs, to boys bits, to acting like a w*nker, to a ‘banging’ party.
