It's the finals of One Night With Laura. Here with a female perspective on Scott's show it's Ema… Jono (also probably female) will review this afternoon's show
Good mornin treacle! Its only bley Friday,theres no school and it’s the final of one night with Laura so I better get started on this review!
One Night With Laura
After travelling up and down the country on a tour bus for a week surrounded by the teams disgusting habits and the moans of Chappers cos he was missing his football the team have finally got their final 3 contestants to spend one night with Laura. Today we find out who has won the opportunity to spend one weekend with Laura in Paris.
The Lie Detector Test
After the rumours on Wednesday and Thursdays show that Shep had a girlfriend after Christine Sheps “Girlfriend” told Scott that she was Sheps current affair and that she was going out with his sister in Newcastle and drinking wine with his Mum still. Scott and the team managed to get a Lie Detector into the Studio with the hilarious man Jeremy who switches it on and off, who told him to turn around and answer the 12 questions. The three finalists had to try and convince Laura that they were the one for her.
Gareth
“I don’t want to do this”
Gareth got Messages of support from his local pub, his very proud mum, and Rachel from his local estate agents.
To win one night with Laura, Gareth said that “it would mean that I win and get to go away to Paris visit the Eiffel tower and get wine because you like some wine”.
Ben
Ben was a bit nervous bless him but could be prove to Laura he was the one for her? Ben got messages from his local pub, his sister who explained that his Mum had no idea about the competition because she was in Australia on holiday, his local member of parliament, and his Mates from Kettering town Football Club. To have the chance to win one night with Laura Ben said “ I don’t need a lie detector, look in eyes for the truth .I could take you somewhere nice with some wine, music and we could get to know each other better and go with flow. And then after that we could go out have a great time Laura its all about you.

Shep
Poor Shep has had a bit of a bad week with speculation that he was currently in a relationship but he wanted to put all that behind and show Laura the real him.
To win one night with Laura Shep said “I've had a bad week but I want to show you the true me,Im the best, get rid of the rest I did fail the lie detector test lets give it a shot. Shep also got Messages from his mum, Derek from bar and Radio1’s Fergie who are all Backing Shep.
Task
Scott Gave the 3 finalists a task, they were given £2 and 20 minutes to go out into London and buy Laura the most romantic gift they can find to indicate to the team how romantic they are. So what did they get Laura? Gareth – Got some Durex extra strength Condoms + lubricant. Ben – Put a pound on Be My Better Half (horse) at the bookies, a packet of love hearts and a postcard. Shep – Breakfast Toast shaped as hearts, orange juice and Jam and a rose
Who are the Radio 1 DJs backing?
Jo Whiley's backing Ben because he’s a bit of a star when he’s got instrument out and because she put him through when she was on the Judging Panel. Vernon Kay‘s also backing Ben. And as Colin Murray said “The liar or the martyr?” I'll be in he house listening and we should be ashamed if Shep Wins. So not too sure who he is backing!
What about the Bookies?
Scott got famous Bookie Warren Lush on the phone to predict who would win one night with Laura. Warren had clearly been doing his research on the competition and here are his predictions. Gareth is odds 2-1 to win, Ben is in second place with odds of 3-1 and because of the controversy whether Shep was in a relationship or not his odds are 4-1. Scott and Chappers were talking about placing bets and Scott wasn’t too sure about how the whole Betting thing worked, although he has betted before when the team were in Blackpool but he got someone to do it for him. Scott’s Mill is racing today too, Scott said he might go and bet on it.
Today there are three shows with results on One night with Laura. The First contestant with the least votes will be booted off Colins show from 1pm today and the final will be on Scott’s usual drive time slot from 4pm today and Jono will be reviewing this afternoons show.
