That’s right – Scott’s in Southampton, baby!
Hello to you and welcome to your favourite (as voted) review of the week. So just forget all the rest and read this, because they’re all rubbish.
Now, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, you’ll know Scott’s doing today’s show from his hometown of Southampton as part of Radio 1’s DJs Go Home week. Will Young, for no reason, is Scott’s special guest down on the coast.
Scott’s did the show from Southampton’s very own Bitterne Park School and before hand raded the streets of Southampton with a mega-phone, no not Laura, an actual megaphone. But Laura went with him too. Pictures speak a thousand works so go check out the DJs go home page on Radio 1 online.

Scott and Chappers kicked off the show from Bitterne Park School’s school hall with some hot and cold snacks… and there’s also a fully licensed park pub at the back of the hall. Will Young wasn’t there at the start, but did come along soon after – around 4:30.

Rate My Listener
Now, today’s Rate My Listener is actual a maths and French teacher at the school. He’s also the head of Year 7. If you’re a kid you can call him Sir but otherwise call him Matt.
There were protests from the crowd for Chappers to do his lasso dance to Scott’s record of the week, even grown men were screaming for Chappers to get on down… and he did despite claims of a hamstring injury. And by the way, Scott’s mum made fairy cakes for Will!
Just before 4:30, Chappers haunted Scott with a blast from the past as he re-united Scott with some of his teachers. The teachers say Scott was a “little podgy kid with a bad hair-cut”. Scott never participated in PE also! Apparently, when Scott was studying Romeo and Juliet, and they had to do it in a play, Scott went into a huff if he wasn’t selected as Juliet. Also, the school now has a special ‘Scott Mills Table’ where only special pupils sit. Will Young then performed his new single before the Wonder Years were played.
