Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees my friend! It’s that time of week again!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, Scott has been filling Chris Moyles’ slot (G’Mornin) and Vernon Kay has been doing the afternoon drive-time show.
On Thursday afternoon, due to the barbaric attacks on London’s transport, Vernon was unable to do the 4-7pm show so Scott was willing to be on air for six hours in the day. The true saviour of Radio 1!
Scott and Chappers were in a very relaxed mood today to help the nation reminisce about the tragic events in London. Thousands and thousands of text messages and emails of support poured in.
The track that everyone wanted today was ‘I get knocked down’ by Chumba-Wumba, but in the song, everyone gets back up again. Also, they drink a larger drink and indeed a cider drink.
”Appalling atrocities but the Londoners will carry on and I applaud them for that” was the text message that summed everything up.
Your Home is at Risk
There’s not a better way to cheer up the nation than to hand presents to a child. Cody, 6-years-old from Bristol, put her parent’s belongings at risk. Her birthday is soon but won’t allow Chappers to attend her party because he’s too old! She said that she has a maths lesson in school today and even tested Scott:
Cody: What’s 6+6?
Scott: 12
Cody: No…
Chappers: Are you good at maths?
Cody: Yeah!
Scott: Ha ha! You’re funny!
Cody loves Britney and won a CD after answering the mind-boggling question: “How many legs does a spider have?” Lucky she said ‘8’ and her mother now keeps her expensive shoes!
She also won a ‘Brats’ doll and kept her mum’s wine by answering: “How many legs does a cat have?”
The star prize today was a brand new TV and she gambled her dad’s new ‘PSP’, which are out in Bristol! Cody named all 9 planets in the Solar System in order, despite uproar on the texts and emails claiming Pluto isn’t actually a planet!
Mariah Carey – Star Phone
Scott replayed the Mariah Carey interview from Thursday and also attempted to ring her ‘Star Phone’
The phone has to be passed onto her other celebrity friends. Scott called it earlier on in the week. First time she answered in Germany and the second she was in the tub (G’Mornin). No answer sadly when Scott called it 3 times today.
The Owen Wilson interview was also replayed from earlier this week.
