Greg has made no secret of his desire to get the record. I think he would reject all offers til he gets it and I also don't think he will take another radio show on any station after the breakfast show ends. With the added bad blood between Aled and Moyles then I don't think Aled will axe Greg so he can take it from him. The only question is will anyone replace Aled in the meantime

Scott and Chris would never work on r2. There style of show was too childlike for them. I heard Greg tried to get Chris to join his show but Chris wanted a clean break from r1. Don't think Scott will leave r2 for a very long time. His show is popular and in a good time slot. Unfortunately Chris won't ever be the main attraction and present on his own so his days will inevitably be numbered on radio, lucky he has Jordan now to keep him around for a long time.

This is true. I'm a truck driver and most trucks can only hold r1 and r2 stations steady. Capital and heart gets a lot of static. Could be a big reason why. Depending on the vehicles age and quality of media centre installed I listen to Scott generally

Interested to know what people think the station will be like in the next 5 years. Pretty obvious Greg won't go before 2027 but then I think Jack becomes next breakfast host. Katie in Live lounge Sam and Danni on Afternoons Dean on Drive Arielle on future sounds Charlie on Friday nights and Rickie and Melvin on 1xtra Breakfast show. I'd also quite like a movies show a Sunday where they discuss new films for this week and play music from it and music from other films. Could do it from 7 to 9 before r1 relax

The 3 presenter format rarely works on any show on tv or radio. Look at awards shows or entertainment shows. It's very difficult to get all 3 equal airtime without it being messy. I can't think of a successful full time trio other than RMC. From the listening I've done so far it seems Katie and Vick are against Jamie and he's there temporarily to try and attract a new audience. I also think Vick would have been looking to move on as she was going from Life hacks before Jordan went. She will obviously want to travel the world with Calvin and bosses won't agree to that much time off. It's a waiting game to see who leaves 1st Vick or Jamie. Katie is in for the long haul now

I don't think Dean and Vicky was the long term plan for the show. Replacing Mills and Stark was always an impossible job for whoever took it on and would have had flak for it. I think they wanted someone in that was far away from that show ready for now. I don't know if Matt and Mollie were always the intended recipients of it or if they had someone else planned. At the time there was a lack of quality available besides Matt and Mollie and maybe they wanted to give Dean and Vicky airtime as they have big plans for them moving forward

It's not a good look. R1 really wide of the mark with this appointment. Vick and Katie have excellent chemistry so don't need Jamie. Maybe they didn't think Katie would move to London or Vick wouldn't go Manchester permanent. Strange decision. Will be interesting hearing the listeners figures in 3 months

I think Matt works well with anyone or on his own. A multi purpose presenter.

Lots of good presenters available. Spoony, Trevor, Angela, rickie, Melvin, romesh Bbc needs to take it sister stations more seriously. 1dance is all repeats. Need to look at how global runs the capital stations with regular hosts

Also Ricky and Melvin start up the 1xtra takeover from dance anthems would be huge. They have experience hosting breakfast on kiss.

Arielle won't commit to doing a weekend show as her dj commitments. She would realistically do live lounge as she does presenting like Clara and charisma of Annie mac. Would love her on drive. Think people would enjoy that. Think Ricky and Melvin will leave to host on 1xtra leaving Charlie on dance anthems and Friday cover. They clearly like Ore and James so want them in full time at some point. Maybe Nat and Ore on early with James and Vicky on weekends. Not sure where that leaves Dean though maybe Chart to begin with or a weekend breakfast if Sam and danni get drive.

I think Arielle replaces rmc and Nat and Ore doing early Vick and Jamie will break up within a year and Sam and Danni will move in
