    It’s actually Example throughout April but Scarlett is coming up. 

    I don’t think Matt was supposed to be having any co host this weekend as it’s the Greatest Hits Weekend.

    Are they trying to push Mollie as a new presenter then maybe? She’s been very good with Matt and she seems to be on this weekend on the Friday and Saturday with Matt which I don’t think was the original plan.

    Schedule Changes:

    Good Friday is the same as a normal Saturday with Easter Monday being the same as a normal Monday. 

    On Good Friday, Annie Mac and Danny Howard are presenting the Rave Lounge from 7pm to 1am which seems like a nice idea. 

    And for (at least) the next two weeks Alice is doing Weekend Breakfast on her own.

    Few more things to add here: 

    Jordan is in for Greg from Monday 26th to Thursday 29th with Mistajam covering the chart on Friday. 

    The rest of Good Friday is like a normal Saturday: 

    4:00 Adele Roberts 

    6:30 Greatest Hits with Alice Levine

    10:00 Greatest Hits with Maya Jama

    1:00 The Matt Edmondson Show

    Finally, I think Easter Monday is the same as this apart from Jordan doing the Greatest Hits.

    Roushan helps produce all of the weekend shows I think. Matts producer is good but not in the same league as Chris was unfortunately. 

    I listened to some of the show this morning and I don’t think they really played more tracks than normal, I think it was just more at the start of the show and less in the middle which probably makes sense with the small audience at that time in the morning. 

    Also I know this isn’t strictly this topic, but I feel like Cels time at Radio 1 might br coming to an end - He never seems to be on anyone else’s show, never seems to cover for anyone and isn’t in the new life hacks podcast which is just Katie and Dr Radha.

    I agree with everything that’s been said the last couple of days. Mollie has been sounding great with Matt and it’s a shame that she’s going to go and be replaced by Scarlett Moffatt, who’s just irritating. Matts solo show has also been sounding very slick. 

    I’m enjoying the Greatest Hits show, more with Jordan but Maya isn’t as bad as I was expecting her to be. 

    I do wonder a couple of things though - what will happen when Matts on holiday or something? Will his cohost present on their own or will someone else present with them? Also, when Scott and Chris are on breakfast, I wonder if Maya will join them on Fridays or if she will stay with the cover presenter? 

    Finally, I think the producers of the weekend shows have moved around as well - Matts moved with him onto the new show, Dev’s old one has moved onto the Greatest Hits so I presume Alice’s producer will be producing her and Dev. 

    Overall, I feel like Radio 1 is in a great shape right now and probably the best for quitea few years!

    Thanks very much. Just a quick question, how do you get this scheduling information so early before it’s on? I use the radio times website and uk TV guide but they only go 2 weeks in advance 

  25. Biggest Weekend 2018

    in Radio 1's Big Weekend

    Big Weekend this year has been turned into Biggest Weekend with the the three other BBC music stations and in conjunction with BBC music to replace Glastonbury this year. 

    This means that there is going to be a stage in all 4 nations of the UK and Radio 1 is in Wales in SWANSEA! 

    All 4 events will happen on the weekend of the 26th, 27th and 28th of May. 

    Officially confirmed artists are Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran at the moment.
