Did anyone hear Matt and Mollie today? Were they any good?

Maya is off again this weekend with Jordan doing her Greatest Hits show. That’s the third week when Maya has been off with her only supposed to be off for one. Seems a bit strange - She hasn’t actually been on since those controversial tweets came out.

That’s a late change then as it wasn’t there when I checked yesterday. Maybe Matt didn’t want to do 14 days of Radio in a row

About what I was expecting really. A bit of a shame that Matt and Adele aren’t doing the 10 till 1 slot again as I really enjoyed them opening the whole thing up last year. In fact, Adele isn’t even there. That’s strange. Also, why is Ed Sheeran on so early. Most people won’t be there by then.

I wonder who’s the main cover for all the daytime shows. I think it’s this: Adele - Jordan Nick - Scott, Maybe Alice and Dev as well Clara - Adele and Jordan Scott - Matt (and Mollie) Greg - Jordan and Dev Weekend: Alice and Dev - One of them does it solo Greatest Hits - No idea: Maybe Katie, maybe Adele Matt - Jordan It does surprise me how much cover Jordan really does looking at this and how little amount Alice and Maya do. If anyone knows of anything that I’ve missed then just say.

I thought I’d just put all these schedule changes together: Rest of today: Matt in for Scott, Jordan in for Greg, Grimmy in for Annie. Dotty is doing both her show and Annie’s show so I’d imagine that he will be.

I’ve just had a thought as well, since Aled is now the head of programmes at R1 and he seems to like making shows into zoo formats eg, Charlie Sloth, Matt and Mollie, Alice and Dev, then maybe as Greg’s show would work very well as a zoo format with Greg, Chris, Chris and Grace because they all bounce off each other so well, he might get breakfast. It may be just a dream but Gregs Show is sounding better than ever right now. Also, relating to that slightly, I’m not sure why Aled hasn’t changed Grimmys show at all really since he’s come in with changes happening to lots of other shows. I can only image that it’s because he’s coming off their soon. But again that maybe wishful thinking. Adele on Saturday really showed up how rubbish Maya really is. I dread to think what she will be like on an entertainment show that’s less music based. Ooh that’s so vibes. Keep vibing. Ooh I can sing. Here’s Newsbeat with the wrong presenter. Yeah, I wonder that too especially as up until a couple of days ago, she was meant to be on the radio this weekend. It seems like she’s in Italy now though. Also, Matt is in for Scott all week from the 7th to the 11th of May. That may explain why Scott isn’t doing breakfast on Friday 11th with Dev and Alice doing it instead.

I do like the way that Dev is very self deprecating a lot of the time. As much as he’s not the best presenter in my opinion, there aren’t many presenters that take the mickey out of themselves like that.

Adele in for Maya on Saturday as already said. Matt is also in for Scott on Friday which is slightly confusing as I don’t know why Maya can’t host by herself. On the 4th May, Danny is in for Annie. Not sure yet who’s in for him. On the 5th and 6th, Katie Thistleton is in for Maya and Jordan, doing both the Greatest Hits Shows with Jordan in for Matt all weekend. At the moment, Katie is also doing Life Hacks but I’m sure that will change. And finally, Jordan is in for Greg on the 7th May. Does anyone know why Maya doesn’t cover for anyone else but Jordan covers loads? Not that I’m complaining, I much prefer Jordan but I find it slightly strange how she’s not covering at all and yet she’s getting the extra show?

As already mentioned, Jordan is covering the chart today and Alice Levine tomorrow. He is also covering Clara’s show next Thursday and Friday. Also mentioned, Alice is off this weekend and Saturday next weekend. Finally, Katie Thistleton is in for Adele next Friday. Presumably because Jordan is doing Clara’s show.

Maybe Mistajam has had his baby that he was talking about for the last few weeks.

Right, this is very random but I was thinking earlier that since the rest of the weekend schedule has had a refresh, I think the Sunday evening one really needs one so I think it really should be like this: 4:00 Life Hacks with Katie and Dr Radha (continues until 7, get rid of the awful Most Played Chart and also get rid of Cel) 7:00 Radio 1’s best of the week with Scott Mills (would also be like a request show type thing, could then get rid of the Greatest Hits show as they would be on this show) 9:00 Rock Show (Doesn’t need to be in such a prominent slot and doesn’t need to be as long) 11:00 Phil Taggart (Like his show currently is, just slightly shorter) This would also line up with the rest of the week. Any suggestions welcome?

Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes, Anne-Marie, Hailee Steinfeld, Bastille, Clean Bandit, Jason Derulo and Florence and the Machine have all been added to the Biggest Weekend Line up!

Also Scarlett will be doing Saturday night takeaway for the next two weeks so wouldn’t have been able to do it anyway.

She is literally the new Gemma Cairney with her news intros.

It’s actually Example throughout April but Scarlett is coming up. I don’t think Matt was supposed to be having any co host this weekend as it’s the Greatest Hits Weekend.

Are they trying to push Mollie as a new presenter then maybe? She’s been very good with Matt and she seems to be on this weekend on the Friday and Saturday with Matt which I don’t think was the original plan.

I’m also liking Jordan covering but he seems to be playing LOADS more songs than Greg does (and even Dev when he covers)

Schedule Changes: Good Friday is the same as a normal Saturday with Easter Monday being the same as a normal Monday. On Good Friday, Annie Mac and Danny Howard are presenting the Rave Lounge from 7pm to 1am which seems like a nice idea. And for (at least) the next two weeks Alice is doing Weekend Breakfast on her own.
