I'm massively bored. I can't think of ANYTHING interesting to do. This is the most boring weekend ever. And if nothing changes, it'll go on like that. I never thought I'd say that, but I'm actually really looking forward to going to school again. Then at least I have something to do during the day...

Been listening to the podcasts, as I've started doing recently, instead of listening live (not sure why!). Sara has been quite good so far; is it just one week?
I'm also just listening to podcasts at the moment. When I come home from school, I don't have time to listen live, I have too much homework and upcoming exams.

I had the most amazing holidays ever. A whole week just sleeping, eating, skiing and then at least two hours per day listening to après-ski music with the DJ himself. It was brilliant!

I went to see "We Want Sex" yesterday evening. Won tickets for the premiere...
It's quite a nice, funny movie and maybe I'll go and watch it again. -
Radio stations here in Switzerland use that software as well. I always wondered how the DJs know when to stop talking before the singing starts...
I now have a free copy too, I like how they're giving it away to everyone. And I already played around with it a bit, I love it!!

I haven't made any resolutions for the new year but I do keep thinking back over the past one (and occasionally a few before too), and realised that even the bloody good things ended up as bad things, regardless of what I did/tried to do. Because of that, I've just come to the conclusion that Resolutions (among many other things) are just pointless. Feels like nothing I have done (good or bad) has gone unpunished...
Aww, come on.... You're right that resolutions are pointless, (almost) no one can keep them. But it's not possible that everything you did ended up in a bad way. There surely was something good in the last year. And I know that there will come many good moments/things in the new year. If you really believe in it, you'll see that everything will be better. Just try it!

I hated it too, but more because I had to go out of my way to AVOID family, which required the precision and timing of a military operation. New Year is gonna be the same.
Why do you want to avoid family?

i'm not going to be walked over in 2011 for a start, i come first from now on.
i need to develop a new career, pushing into computer repairs, maybe even a college course if needed will be looked into.
i need my own place. my parents have been great, it's going to be hard on my own but i've got to go someday.
i hope that will build my confidence, and i'll feel better about myself once again. maybe this way i'll find a girl who'll stick around and give me just one fucking chance. for me to show them that i am a good guy and can offer more than some of these grinning vin diesel wannabe bell ends.
use that as a resolution... I'm sure you'll succeed in your new career. You'll surely find a girl who loves you for what you are. We all on here know that you're a nice guy and so do others around you. Remember, there are people in the world who like you and someday when it's the right time, the girl that is meant for you will come. Good luck with everything!

There definitely belongs a post from me in this thread... Dev is brilliant for the Early Breakfast - and not just because he put me on the phone so many times. He has a voice I like waking up to, perfectly suitable for this slot.
Even in real life, he's an absolutely nice guy, really helpful and friendly.
