Nice read. I never knew about the whole gay thing though - but who cares? He can be who he wants, and I don't think anyone needs to be branded because of it - I'll still keep listening.

Colin or Chappers are probabaly natural choices for thsi and Ill be shocked if Murray isnt the favourite. Though to be honest I think the BBC will pull someone really random in for it. For example look who's been brought in to replace Johnathan Ross on Film 20??!
I read somewhere tday that Richard bacon, dermot O'leary and Ben Shephard are favourites for either One Show or apprentice show.
Chiles will be missed! I really like him!
When Chiles takes a spot on GMTV maybe it will put Ben Shephard out of a job and he could take the 4day a week spot on the one show ?

Id prefer it if he ended up doing the 'One show' instead of Match of the Day!
I would agree 100% with you here, I would love to hear him back on his radio 1 show. I really enjoyed it, not that Grimeshaw is bad or anything I enjoy him too, but Murray was easy listening/enjoyable, when he was on. That said, I do hope he gets the MOTD2 gig since that's the direction he picked to go with his work...

Really hope Murray gets it. I enjoyed watching him on 'five' (the tv channel, I think it's called) when he use to cover the matchs on there.

I'm sorry but that argument simply doesn't stand up. In the Media industry if you are offered a dream job you don't say "no I won't be taking that because poor old Steve Rider will be out of a job". It just doesn't work like that, media is a dog eat dog and you look after your own career, not anyone elses.
Chris Evans is an innocent party. He has just been asked to do a job based on his recent success. He has to look after his own career, not Adrian Chiles'.
And as for Steve Rider, in accepting the job of ITV's football anchor he did Gabby Logan out of a job. It happens in media, particularly presenting, all the time and you simply cannot afford to worry about others when lining up your next job.

I think the BBC must be hoping for some kind of TFI Friday-style show employing him on Friday evenings?
That will make me want to watch even more if so...

Yeah I supose... then again he has been quoted saying "I find sleeping boring", so I dont think the 5days a week would be he's problem, but he's probably just happy to be doing Fridays and to be back on the tv :-)

Wow ! Big move and more screen time for him... Would you not think the BBC would just give Chris Evans the one show 5days a week instead of bringing in someone 4days a week ?

How come everyone (most people) on here doesn't like fearne ? Not that I do, but I don't hate her either. As a fellow Irish man, I would love to see Annie in the 10am spot but I'm just wondering about the anti-Fearne thing ? :-)

I think he works great on his own... After all, it's is called 'The Scott Mills Show'.

I think he should get his own cover show on radio 1 e.g. covering for Vernon or Edith as I think those slots need someone sporty and he's proved he can handle the banter.
However i know he works for BBC Sport around the grounds in the afternoon so might be a slight hitch
I feel the same as you but he should also move with Scott to drive time, kinda fill the slot chappers left... ?

Love the arguments they're making against ALED's own retort tweets... not actually giving any examples of what she's accusing Moyles of. What's the betting it's some Mail Reader with some sort of grudge and armed with a single soundbite.
Convenient how it happens to start when Moyles is off and not around to defend himself. I hope he says something on air when he comes back

I've checked out Scott's stuff again this morning, and this time he does seem to be giving advice (good at that) to someone working within an English radio station.
Now we're getting there....
I think I know what your on about.... That was really really nice of him to give that advice espically when all his @Scott_mills tweets were probably all congrats on the sony award nom. etc. Scott managed to spot that one Tweet and gave that guy help !
