  1. The Mills himself... hello, lordship! Do you know that it's actually your fault that I'm listening to Radio 1 almost every day since late 2006? I don't know anyone else who achieved something like that. Keep rocking, Mills! Love you
  2. I just cannot stand that guy. The music is alright, I wouldn't want to complain about that. But when he is talking I'd like to turn the radio off. Which is silly if I switch it on again two minutes later, so I don't. But I absolutely don't like him.
  3. That's good news, mainly. Great to have more speech output on Radio 1, and Nihal's new show will hopefully be very interesting. I am very much looking forward to that. Also, I did never really like Tong's show, whereas Mac's Mashup is brilliant, so there is no gap Friday night's in which I have to avoid R1. The rest of the changes do not really affect me, although I would have liked Steve Lamacq to stay... Won't miss Westwood's INMWT. If they asked me I would advise them to change Saturday nights. If I do not like some kind of music at all, it's that hophop thing...
  4. Thing is: it is the BBC's mission to broadcast a service for young audiences. You could ask whether the BBC does this satisfactory (I would say yes) and if not ask for changes - but selling Radio 1 cannot be an option.
  5. I've been watching this space for quite a while now. What is going to happen and when?
  6. I would propably buy it if I was in the UK, but being in Germany it could prove difficult
  7. Typing it up is a bit too much effort for just a magazine-interview, but if anyone could scan the missing pages and upload them, that would be great.
  8. Dave Pearce for Sunday night Dance Anthems and Wes Butters for the Chart Show. Wes is more important, though...
  9. Depends. Whiley is definitely an interesting candidate for any other BBC station. Radio2? 6music? Rado4? I guess when one of these stations calls her and offers to do a show, she'll go. Don't think Radio 1 will force her leave. Cox and Bowman? Both not really 6music-ish. Let alone Radio 2.

    Webcams

webcams going crazy again. Neither do I recognize who's in the studio, nor do I know where the other picture was taken...
  11. ...who is really bad. Even Annie Mac was replying to him last weekend, and I had to search for about ten minutes until I found the difference...Edit: Edith on Twitter...does it sound honest? They surely know about these changes for a while, don't they. Seems to me that in public she desperately wants to appear happy with the change...
  12. Erm...I do not see any tweet from Moyles concerning the new schedule?! Well, he will stay on his Asian Beats show with Bobby Friction. Don't think he will do anything else on Radio 1, but maybe on other BBC stations or other projects.
  13. I'd go for Greg, Neil and Finchman (I know...) off of Moyles on afternoons. Could be a very random-chaotic show. I like that
  14. Although I do not really like Grimshaw I have to say he didn't sound bad. I was listening for about an hour and a half on aggregate, and I think he sounded much more grown-up than on that aweful Switch thing. Maybe I should give him a listen on Murrays show?
  15. fan #1 (or so )I always like Fearne when she does a show on her own, I just can't stand that bloody kindergarden Fearne and Reggie shows... both are better on their own, so that's a pretty good move. I will still miss Jo. Hope she will be Fearne's cover on her old show...although I doubt that is realistic...
  16. Two questions: Who is going to be the regular cover for Scott? I can't imagine Greg keeping that position. And: Are the quotes that you can read in the press office statement really quotes of the DJs, or are they faked? I don't believe Jo said something like this:
  17. It seems that he was just number 4 after Vernon, Fearne, and Annie who all seem to be away.
  18. Although these changes were foreseeable, and although I like Fearne solo, I can't imagine enjoying weekday midmornings as much as I do when Jo is on... What a pity...
  19. I very much doubt he would take a day of for that. His work ends at half past ten or so. The BBC executives propably won't start before that time
  20. Okay I was just wondering whether the trip to Ibiza was the only event planned this summer apart from festival coverages. I found all those journeys to several places around Europe quite entertaining. But in times of the credit crunch defending the necessity of such action could be difficult...
  21. Well they have in 2007, and last year the events in mallorca, ibiza, barry island and newquay were titled "Summer on Radio 1". Plus some of the festivals. So there was more action going on anyway.Just having the Ibiza event seems to be a bit credit-crunched...
  22. So no six weeks of summer this year, just the ibiza thing?
