Seems like the Bog Weekend is there mainly for the benefit of the music industry PR teams and R1 DJs rather than the general pubic. I remember the old R1 roadshow where it was all about getting out amongst real people. Not now though.

I remember as a lover of music when the Radio 1 chart show was the event of the weekend. What it needs is a presenter with a passion for music whose style gives it some sort of authority and makes it matter again.

They do. She gave Scott's show some extra bounce with her bubbly girlie personality which took the links in some strange and amusing directions. Her randomness of conversation is now sadly lacking from the show. :cry:

I think Whiley should be demoted to the weekend as punishment. Most Radio 1 listeners probably don't care anyway but standards of fair play must be maintained across the BBC networks. Saying she didn't know doesn't wash with me as she should know whats going on in her own show.

Now we all know that Scott likes his orange colour but will the spray tan affect him in the long term?
