It’s like going on holiday….without taking any days off
Fridays will never be the same again, well until August 19th at least. Radio 1, who now have increased listening figures by 500,000 over the year, present you with Radio 1’s Summer Friday Thing – where every Radio 1 show on a Friday over the summer has that important summer vibe we all need to survive. The station has sent the presenters all around the globe – from Chris Moyles in a canal to Scott Mills in Mallorca. Today, Jo Whiley was in Fistral beach, Newquay, learning how to surf. Life’s a beach, eh?
It’s been a week of putting companies on hold and solving Queen and Jeremy Clarkson questions for Scott (see reviews below!) but Friday will always be Scott’s favourite day!
Scott was in a stranger’s hotel room just 3 hours before the show started, but was in a good mood nevertheless as ItsOnlyBleyFriiiiiiday! Scott felt terrible to begin with after being on a night out with Alex Parks and the Kaizer Chiefs and the studio smelt of crisps and garlic (Chaaaappers!). Chappers nearly weed in a sink in the middle of a pub last night, nearly getting his wanger out.
Another Jo Whiley story emerged today, this time she was massaged in the French Alps and Jo bought them a drink afterwards! How sweet – undoubtedly the most generous Radio 1 DJ.
The On-Hold game from yesterday and Scott busting Fred the waiter with Chris Molyes were replayed.
Jason from Wrexham with a loud wife chose the same Energy 52 track the girl did on Moyles’ show did this morning on the Summer Shuffle. What a shame – no All Saints 🙁 – Dom off of Dick and Dom txt Scott to say well done for playing it!
