Royal Blood played the Golden Shot
Royal Blood came in after their Live Lounge performance and were given another round of the Golden Shot.
The rules were simple: Scott and Chris supplied a category, the band took turns naming examples and one secretly chosen answer had to be avoided.
The first category was cheese.
Edam, Brie, Stilton, Cheddar, Wensleydale and Babybel all passed safely before Red Leicester triggered the Golden Shot.
A second round involving farmyard animals ended when “horse” was chosen.
The final category, famous boybands and girlbands, became a marathon as Royal Blood worked through everyone from B*Witched and Boyzone to the Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Blue, O-Town, Fifth Harmony, One Direction and Take That while trying to avoid Little Mix.
The game ended with the band administering the agreed slap for the losing answer.
A Newsbeat nightmare happened in real life
Scott sympathised with Newsbeat presenter Greg Dawson after a clip failed to play during the 1.30 bulletin.
For broadcasters, the moment when a button is pressed and absolutely nothing happens was a classic stress dream. Scott said he had repeatedly dreamt of sitting in the Radio 1 studio while every control failed.
Listeners supplied their own work-related anxiety dreams. Wedding photographer Liz regularly dreamed before jobs that she could not reach the venue, her camera stopped working or the roads froze so completely she had to ice-skate there.
A Welsh video made Scott’s day
Scott had also become obsessed with a video by Welsh writer Laura Jane Williams.
She was walking along filming herself and confidently announcing that she felt “really sexy” when she suddenly fell over.
Scott loved the combination of the unusually direct declaration and the perfectly timed fall far more than either part on its own.
