Chris made it back after his Barcelona travel nightmare and confirmed that he had sent the previous day’s deliberately cringeworthy complaint to the airline. There was no reply yet.
Scott also admitted he had been unusually short with Chris when the cancellation first happened, before eventually accepting that the airline, rather than Chris, was responsible for the mess.
Love Island inspired some very serious declarations
The Love Island final had featured contestants making elaborate declarations of love after only a few weeks together. Scott and Chris replayed Marcel’s speech to Gabby and Chris Hughes’s poem for Olivia and concluded that the declarations were affectionate, but gloriously over-written.
They briefly considered writing declarations to each other, then decided that would be too much even for them.
Instead, Chris phoned Pizza Hut and delivered a romantic speech about how happy pizza made him, while Scott prepared to declare his feelings for one of his favourite tanning salons.
Jonny Mitchell faced Innuendo Bingo
Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell came into Radio 1 for Innuendo Bingo, extending the show’s post-final obsession for another afternoon.
He discussed his time in the villa before taking the inevitable soaking from Chris and another collection of carefully selected clips.
