A humming toilet and an Olympic anniversary
Scott’s toilet has begun vibrating and humming loudly enough to become a household mystery. Listeners with plumbing knowledge diagnose a faulty ball valve, and a repair visit is arranged. The programme also looks back four years to the London 2012 opening ceremony and the collective excitement of watching it unfold.
Becky, Jonas and a secret house
Becky Hill speaks to Chris after he followed and unfollowed her on social media in the hope that she would notice. She did not see the manoeuvre until later browsing exposed it. Becky, appearing on Matoma’s “False Alarm”, agrees that a future Innuendo Bingo appearance is possible.
Jonas Blue arrives for his first Live Lounge. Chris greets him in Swedish after assuming the stage name belongs to a Scandinavian DJ, only to learn that he comes from London. Jonas discusses “Perfect Strangers” with JP Cooper and the identity he created for his music.
Emma Willis prepares for the launch of Celebrity Big Brother. The contestants are being kept in a secret hotel with chaperones, and Emma has already interviewed a mystery housemate under strict embargo. She refuses to reveal the name but conveys how close the new series is to beginning.
Answer or drink
Vicky Pattison discusses her latest writing, life after winning I’m a Celebrity and an interest in presenting the programme’s spin-off. She then helps launch Tabasco or Truth. Scott, Chris and Vicky must answer personal questions or use their single pass and drink hot sauce from a pound-shop shot glass.
The questions demand lists of former partners and admissions about embarrassing work undertaken for money. Passing sounds easier until the Tabasco arrives. By the end, all three have tasted it and are dealing with burning mouths, streaming eyes and a flavour that refuses to disappear. The first game proves that even an awkward truth can be kinder than the alternative.
