Superstar DJ Hannah gets an Innuendo Bingo soaking
Lucy from Bath introduced the show before spending the weekend as the stand-in Witch of Wookey Hole. She normally worked in university careers marketing but had previously been a cave guide and was covering for the attraction’s regular witch while she went on holiday. Her duties involved magic in a circus show, meeting children and greeting hotel guests at breakfast, although Scott suspected that the supposedly temporary role might eventually take over her life.
Chris described a quiet drink which had escalated after he and the silent member of the team encountered Aiden Grimshaw. A trip downstairs revealed around 100 ukulele players, after which Chris found himself at an art-gallery party where David Guetta was DJing and Mischa Barton was among the guests. Scott decided that the regular visitor to Misty Moon and Oceana had suddenly become a London socialite, although Chris admitted he had felt completely out of place.
Hannah Jakes returned after winning Radio 1’s Superstar DJ competition and earning a trip to Ibiza to perform alongside the station’s dance presenters. She had spent four nervous days completing challenges, packed her Ibiza outfits in advance and finally heard Chris Moyles announce her victory. Before flying out that evening, she claimed the additional prize she had been requesting throughout the contest: a game of Innuendo Bingo against Chris.
Olympic clips about Jessie J’s “little thing”, athletes penetrating the world’s best and a smiling swimmer joined familiar material from Coast, Coronation Street and Joan Collins. Hannah quickly abandoned any attempt to hold back and repeatedly soaked Chris, particularly when Scott replayed his offer to climb into her suitcase. She left just as wet but still ready to DJ in Ibiza, where she considered slipping Scott and Chris’s “Mile High Club” into her set after hearing that somebody had attempted it at karaoke in Tunisia.
In Dear Scott, listeners nominated inappropriate songs for an older people’s aqua-aerobics class and proposed having the PR4L read material inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey in Edinburgh. A listener in Denver also discovered an unexpected Jewish children’s record while searching for music by Benga, prompting considerable confusion over whether it was really the same artist. Scott’s Olympic education continued when he admitted believing that swimmers’ names and countries were physically written on the bottom of the pool rather than added to the television picture.
